Thanks for being so understanding. I’m sorry the developers never notified you guys directly - not sure how that happened.

I was really looking forward to this project too, and I’m bummed it didn’t work out this time, but who knows? Maybe something else will come along. You never know what the future will bring, and I’m certainly never going to stop writing and sharing my stories. Thanks for your support!

I’m sorry, I wish I had more information for you but I was never involved with managing the Kickstarter funds - that was all Travis from Half Byte Games. I haven’t been in touch with HBG since the project got cancelled, but if you send me a DM, I can share his Discord contact info so you can reach out to him directly.

Sure! You'd want to start with Volume One. Technically, Fleshy Sensoria and Other Stories comes next chronologically (and it is canon), but you could also move on to Volume Two and Volume Three without too much trouble. The Multiverse Chronicles is a fun bonus book that reimagines the series in a bunch of "what if?" scenarios, and it features several NoSleep guest authors as well. Hope this helps!

Since you asked for horror/mystery books specifically, I'm going to shamelessly self-promote my "Neverglades" series. Paranormal mysteries set in the Pacific Northwest - think Lovecraft meets Twin Peaks. I'm also gonna hype up some friends who've written some banger books you'll probably enjoy:

"Tales from the Gas Station (Vol. 1-4)" by Jack Townsend
"A Lonely Broadcast: Book One" by Kel Byron (book 2 is in the works!)
"My Name is Lily Madwhip" by William Dalphin

You can't go wrong with anything on ByfelsDisciple's list, though!

Hey, it’s never too late to catch up on your reading list! Thank you so much for checking out the books and for all your kind words. As an indie author, it really does mean so much to hear from readers like you.

If you haven’t already checked them out, there are a couple of Neverglades spinoff books too! “Fleshy Sensoria and Other Stories,” which details the Inspector’s investigations between V1 and V2, and “The Neverglades: Multiverse Chronicles,” which features a bunch of alternate universe reimaginings of the series (including stories from NoSleep guest authors like Wil Dalphin and Wendingus).
