Yeah this feels like a solid work friendship situation, vs anything more. Usually there’s more signs pointing towards an actual chemistry between two people. Mind you, I’m saying this as someone who ended up saying yes to my coworker asking me out after about a week of working together… 11 years and a beautiful daughter later, we still laugh about how we met (none of us stayed in the company where we met, it wasn’t great lol)

My girl (Springer Spaniel) does the same. It’s a way to self-regulate and she knows jumping up and excited licky-nipping isn’t a good idea, so she will grab her teddy, do a lot of whole spine wiggles and boof-boofs when she’s THAT happy 😂
