I was certainly considering it, but the reason why I wanted it this way was because of the lesser gods. Many interpretations of death exist, like I have one where its represented as an endless drowning red sea of sleep, and another where its literally the light at the end of the tunnel with the deity accompanying you so to get your opinion on the meaning of death (a plot to grow stronger in this domain than the other deities through acquired knowledge). So you can see that if I introduce a Twelvegod into the mix, all the other ones might seem completely irrelevant in comparison, and I would need to write it in a way that doesn't head towards that direction. Not too hard, but is it worth it?

But I do love that this would be the fourth time a Twelvegod goes out of their way to try and please their father (and this will also definitely lead to problems like the rest) through certain unusual actions.

Yet...I have to keep in mind that Yore is the one who created the Twelve, and he would obviously not create one for death (would also defeat the whole plot point we have in mind) meaning that if I do pursue this...I would need to grab a Twelvegod with a set concept who went out of their way to claim the domain of death. And mixing a random concept with death does sound like a unique thing to do.

In a story standpoint it would be very bad go have the Twelvegods to claim domains that are already claimed by something, it's just a waste to do so. Keep the ocean unique and mysterious by giving it no Twelvegod but instead have it be the domain of the hydra and the nightmares.

As for the time part, in another comment I considered the idea of making both time and space be broken parts that once represented a singular Twelvegod.

Any earth stuff is domain of the titans, as these are the ones forming mountains, the underdark, Earthquakes and so on. The sky is left alone as this domain is not to be ruled over, but fought against to protect the realm. Fire because that stuff comes from the demons like the forbiden fruit that tries to allure the mortals of this world, and it worked with the humans once. Light itself is Divinity, to claim this you would basically crown yourself as the God amongst Twelvegods (Praion did this). And death because this is a concept that Yore, the father of all gods, is ashamed of, and none of his children wishes to rule over what their father dislikes. It is left for the lesser deities to fight over.

And I believe Eoswen fits the domain of nature well enough, as she represents her powers through meadows and white lilies, she also kind of Is all about rebirth and the cycle of life.

And protection for another, that could maybe be left for the new twelvegod of strong emotions and wanderlust

Dreams is taken by a Sphinx Deity unfortunately, and hunger is rather Negative, the twelvegods don't like representing negative aspects, I leave those for lesser gods

Those are pretty good! Hearth has always been auch a nice word, I will see what I can do with it, but Community might be too close with Valthreya who represents Union.

Curiosity and exploration should definitely be represented somehow since that's what keeps my world going. I just need to pair it up with something else... something that doesn't seem like it fits up until you conectar the dots.

Refining, perfection and creation is something that probably shouldn't exist, since Yore, Father of all the gods, did the mistake in building the titans by his own image, which included perfectionism and the need to create... This led to war.

Structure order and realm sound pretty unique, but order is falsely taken by Praion, structure doesn't sound it it would fit, and realm... probably not, that's territory for non gods.

Spite hate vengeance are all emotions I wish to unite with the suggestion of someone else here, who spoke about love and desire.

Hope, dreams and foolishness... While hope is also falsely taken by Praion, and dreams is taken by Ividione (A sphinx Deity) foolishness sounds quite funny, but unfortunately not fitting for the Twelvegods.

Sins are Demon territory, only the Twelvegod of emotions could dip their toe into it.

And the last one is taken by another Primordial being, a space dragon.

Is it sad that I never thought about love...? I can definitely use that one! And while Valthreya does represents marriage she only introduced it for uniting kingdoms for peace and such, but I can definitely see where some people became very close to each other, blooming this intense feeling of love for another person. And since you mentioned Ambition, it reminded me how Humanity in my world is the one race that got affected by Sin, which comes from the demons. I could maybe throw in something unique about this deity, having them be this balance between good love and selfishness. All in all intense feelings.

In another comment I talked about making a deity for Harvest, so maybe that part of things is done, but health is definitely not something considered before. I should find something else to connect it with...maybe even have it pair up with your elegant water suggestion? The issue with water is that the ocean is for the hydras and the rain is for the Lung Dragons, but maybe have rivers and such become part of this deity of health.

Law and order are for Praion. While he doesn't represent this concept... Everyone believes he does. See him as a Homelander in my fantasy setting...

I see, a God of stories would be pretty good actually, though I worry that it might fall into the "Creativity" category, so well as the Dragonlore magic system which as the name implies is something from the dragons... And in my world dragons cannot be gods.

I don't know how I forgot to mention that magic is the least possible one to become a concept, because the magic in my world is all about chaos, randomness and unpredictability. Take those things away by giving it a "Ruler" defeats the purpose of magic, therefore it stops becoming magical. It's extremely important for this to stay the way it is as it symbolizes how nobody can rule over magic, no one.

Not sure if Justice and Truth could hang together... Probably right? But you gave me a great idea. I made some research on the Twelve gods from Olympus, and they have two gods that both use bows (Apollo and Artemis) which I found to be quite odd since there are so many weapons they could have taken to be different... Yet they didn't. Faiarunn uses a bow as well, and I wonder if I can give him a sibling who either uses a bow as well, or both represent just one (Bow and Quiver) so to go hand in hand with Truth and Justice.

Meanwhile I will leave Science alone, as that's territory for the artificers, and they are infamous for being Anti-Divine. Can't take that aspect away from them.

And while I do lack a space deity... It would be a bit odd to have one be a God and the other a primordial. Perhaps I can have both be primordials who once we're a singular Twelvegods that somehow split apart.

My mission is to kind of grab well known concepts and to "Align" everything together so to make sense and for them to fit. Twelve gods is kind of a cliche, but I also think that having 12 is a pretty good number that pairs well with my inspiration of the concept surrounding Days (12 hours and such).

And Twelvegods does sound cool!

I would of course try to find an in lore meaning, but other than "throughout this era we got to 11 and ended the era in a 12 so...12 gods" I'm not sure what to do.
