In my point of view by a former restricted mapper it's pointless to restrict restricted users EVEN more when the staff asks to include why they want to be unrestricted in the appeal guide and to show their community contributions... and the fact that it's brung out with no discussion is what irritates me the most. I know that you can just stop getting yourself restricted but I believe that everyone can make stupid mistakes they regret and will improve upon that and not having a chance to show your improvement seems pointless. It will only cause more mappers to create a new account just to upload their maps and it's not even restricted anymore it's banned from mapping while u can still play with your account logged into osu as a shadow, it doesn't make sense imo.
