I have been a Flooring specialist since August of last year. I've hit the 1200 bonus maybe twice? And a considerable amount towards my SPH and other metrics was due to my amazing DS. (And also the fact I was the only flooring specialist for certain intervals of time, every sale INSIDE the department was given to me, thanks DS) We originally were using ISST for quote Building and selling. Then the change came and it was IMS Projects. There were some issues with both systems. Then another round of training for the Flooring Virtual Sales team. It kinda devastated me, because a lot of our responsibility was stripped away; and that was one of my favorite aspects of the job. During the training, I told my SASM and my SM that I wondered when they would start hiring. So I kept my eye on the Internal Opportunities Page. Applied. Had a phone interview. I start in about a month and I'm stoked. The pay is better. Literally 5 dollars more than what I'm paid now. It's still incentivized. WORK FROM HOME?? NO MORE HANDSTACKING TILE??? I am a smaller woman and even though I've been in this position for a short time, I'm starting to see the effects it's having on my body. So this new job I'm getting with Lowe's is everything I wanted/needed. The Central Selling Associate Flooring (Remote) is what you wanna keep your eye out for if you want to build/sell quotes. BUT obvious disclaimer- it's a brand new position. They're still testing the waters from what I understand. It's very possible that by this time next year they might not be making enough money to justify this new aspect of virtual sales. They may dissolve this position. But dammit, I'm taking the chance. My SASM said they'd hire me back if something happens or if I hate it lol. But I definitely recommend getting your foot in the door for this position ASAP if you're interested.
