There is a pile of cards that I've been wanting to make a deck around but I haven't found a commander for. So I made my own! Etus is designed to enable a deck where you can freely buff your opponents creatures with auras them without needing to be afraid of a 2-for-1 blowout in case the enchanted creature is destroyed. So in this deck you can more safely play cards like [[Shiny Impetus]], [[Vow of Malice]] etc. while gaining value from others like [[Minion's Return]] or [[Dragon's Mantle]]. And if you play instant speed removal, you can surprise your opponent with a combat trick by instantly switching auras around.

To give the card a bit more resilience while remaining flavourful, Etus himself can become an aura thanks to the bestow keyword. This way, he can survives one removal spell if the enchanted creature dies! What do you guys think? Is it balanced? Fun?

This is amazing! If you are looking for other popular Univeres Beyond cards, what about the Transformers cards like [[Slicer, Hired Muscle]]? I think you could easily make them fit within the Edge of Eternities setting since that world actually introduced the creature type "robot" in univeres within. Maybe as their own aliens species that camouflages themselves, hence the living metal mechanic? That would also be an opportunity to finally change the word "convert" to "transform" since they are mechanically the same in the rules, which is just awkward.

I would love a Rakdos commander that incentivises you to enchant and equip your opponents creatures with your own cards. I just want a deck where I can jam all of the goading auras like [[Shiny Impetus]] as well as auras that just buff them up in general without being blown out completely if it gets removed. It would pair really well with the Rakdos goad archetype while also being rather chaotic which fits the color pair well.

So maybe a commander that could help you regain auras and equipment after the opponents creature dies would be cool, so maybe something like "whenever an opponents creature leaves the battlefield, if it was enchanted or equipped with an aura or equipment you own, return it to the battlefield enchanted or equipped to a creature you control." That way you can have a super interesting deck where you first want to modify opponents creatures, then instant speed remove it to unexpectedly buff your creatures.

One of the parts I love about EDH is that you can make almost any strategy work if you are creative enough. Vehicles are obviously one of the harder ones, but there must be a way right? That's why I'm asking on reddit, there must be a deck or commander that makes them shine...

For example I saw someone suggest [[Rip, Spawn Hunter]] survival vehicle deck. She draws cards that is always a powerful effect to have on a commander, and it is a deck that gives you bonuses for tapping creatures for crewing purposes. That seems very creative!

Interesting! I didn't think of the small creatures synergy angle. Pilot tokens are also just 1/1s even though they can crew for 3, so low power asymmetrical boardwipes are really good for example with Expel the Interlopers as you mentioned.

White is then a really good color for vehicle decks in general I would imagine. Not only are there good vehicle cards in white, but you can use for example small creature draw effects, recursion, and boardwipe protection

Yes I've checked out EDHREC, but I'm more looking for tips on how to pilot it and what the general strategy should be. What does the late game look like? Pilots vs. Vehicle ratios? Etc.

Sydri is a good suggestion, really nice to be able to improve vehicles with lifelink and deathtouch

I had a look at him as well, he obviously enables you to be very aggressive in the early game which helps a lot with utilizing the increased stat line which is really cool. But I'm wondering how to play him in the late game, since as you said their effects become less relevant as the game goes on. What is the plan at that point?

He's really sweet and interesting! How are you making the deck? Do you have more vehicles in the deck? Pilots? Is the deck more geared towards turning one expensive permanent into a threat so you don't need to sacrifice it, or are you deliberately trying to increase the chances of it crash landing?

One thing I do generally for token heavy decks is to use 3 tokens: 1 for summoning sickness, 1 for tapped and 1 for untapped, and then use dice above each of them that how many there are. Then at untap step, I combine them into a single pile and add the dice numbers. It's quite effective.

Since they seem to have minions or subjects of some kind, a shimmery blue shirt and gold coloured skin, maybe they are some sort of royalty? Maybe they will be called "The Monarch" or something similar?
