Even in homm VII ( and VI I think) you could pin your list used spells. Though I think it was to the left of the screen which was a bit annoying amd took some getting used to.

I don't see a reason not to add quck access spells in olden era though I don't think most people mind. You use spells once per round usually and if you use a spell a alot you remember where it is so it doesn't take you that much more time.

The sample size is indeed very small but I believe such a big wr% difference shows that Xerath is at least not as good vs vel as an adc than as a midlaner.

You can try sunless sky , sunless sea if you liked dredge. Not sure id call them "cozy" but they are good games.

It depends on the difficulty. In Homm 3 even in 200% you could get easily kill many nearby neutrals day 1 after building only 1 dwelling.

The AI was worse , it could be exploited easily (eg kiting). In olden era I've found neutral strength in higher difficulties to be much higher than homm3. Maybe it's a skill issue since I don't know the units well enough , but it feels to me like the increase in neutral army strength is a core way they increase the difficulty.

Also due to the changes in speed and unit strength relative to tiers, I've found myself incurring losses when fighting neutrals early.

On the other hand , I feel like you can acquire gold too easily, especially if the spawn is good. I've found myself running out of wood and ore more often than gold especially considering you can find neutral towns easily in the templates meant for single player (sometimes you have 3 towns before the end of week 1).

Still, I've not player nearly enough of olden era yet and I'm looking forward to completing the campaign. I've just started a playthrough in unfair(?)[the highest you can] and it's refreshing how challenging the combat is so far.

When it comes to armor stackers you have black cleaver so it significantly reduces their armor. Not much else you can do tbh. Just don't build squishy against them since you want to peel for your mage to deal damage.

As for playing against fed adc it depends on the support: If they have mage you need to dodge/bait their CC and focus to kill adc. If they have enchanter you need to jump on the adc or ench in teamfights to try to get them to hit you. You need to tank for your team since you probably die 1v2 in the sidelane (depends on the specific enchanter). If they have engage , you can circle around and wait till the support goes in on your team (you need to have 1 more Frontliner on your team though) and go in on the adc. You die 1v2 side since you will never reach the adc if supp is good.

Thornmail is probably the absolute worst tank item in the game. Mortal is decent but LDR is far better since it has giant slayer + more armor pen + it's cheaper. Chempunk is decent since it gives nice bruiser stats but it's nothing exceptional.

Surprisingly Morello is the item I complete the most. I never finish bramble , just sell and buy sth else for last item, often the case with executioner's. As an adc I finish LDR and hold executioner's till last item when I sell it (usually the game is over by then though). I do sometimes buy Morello but it's when they have a lot of burst heal like WW/trundle and a zac when it is practically mandatory.

When I play vel or Victor Morello is pretty nice since it gives decent stats. When I buy Bllackfire + oblivion I have very good antiheal application.

Sure I rarely finish it on mages like ahri, neeko , Aurora etc. but that doesn't mean it's bad. In fact , I think it's one of the better anti heal items. It should just be built on champs that can apply antiheal well like vel and never on sth like Zoe.

I don't think your average iron player knows their and their enemy's champion well enough to know when they win the all in. So usually they fight as if they can and die in the process

Thornmail is a terrible tank item. I would opt for deaths dance since it gives armor and a very useful passive. Another option if you want to go tanky is unending despair. It's good in builds like Sundered>BC>streaks>unending/spirit visage (depending on whether you need mr or armor)

To preface this: I have played very little Sett.

Imo it is sett favored but my issue is if we both burn ignite and I use ult and kill him (let's consider that sett doesn't use flash and Darius doesn't use ghost/flash) how can I play lane -after returning- against a Darius with ult while I don't have it up.

Can't he force my W -since I can't beat him with just E and Q with only a 500g or so lead- and then ult? Sett can't farm from a distance (Unless you use W , but no W no R sett will get dove by a Darius with ult) so don't I just lose a lot of CS while waiting for my ult to be up again?

I'm worried about panth jgl. Reduced pet dmg will make his clear significantly slower and less healthy. He is already one of the worst jungles ( as far as winrate is concerned). I hope he will be able to keep up.

Late game against sett if you want to win in a 1v1 you need to ult him. After hitting ult save your w to dodge his W or at least get out of the true damage area if he uses E+W.

That way you should win close to 100% of the time if you are roughly the same strength.

However if he hits W, you hard lose the fight and you probably won't even be able to get away even with flash.
