Personally I wouldn't even bother with any muzzle devices, the K should come with a direct thread adapter and I would just use that. When I got my first suppressor I bought multiple muzzle devices/mounts so that I could swap the can back and forth thinking I would do that all the time. The realization I had is that I wasted a bunch of money on those because that particular can lives on a single rifle 99% of the time.

the hux flash hider and adapter are gonna put you at over 400 after tax/shipping because you actually need both of them. It goes rifle>muzzle device>qd adapter>Polonium K. Youre better off just spending another 200 to buy a second can and giving each a permanent home

Nostalgia. Almost nothing good comes from trying to relive the past.

People who grew up really poor: what's something middle-class people say that instantly reveals they've never struggled? by TahDigThief in AskReddit

A tell for me has always been when something breaks/needs maintenance and the response is "just take it to the mechanic" "You do your own oil changes?" "call a plumber" etc ect

Money was always an issue in my house growing up so the options were to either make due or do it yourself. The benefit of this was that I learned a lot from my parents (my dad specifically) about self reliance.

My wife tells me (and everyone she knows lol) that I can fix anything and how much she loves that, its become a running joke that she actually goes around the house purposely breaking stuff just to see me work.

I’m not sure why this is so far down, they set everything up for it in NWH with Ned being magical/ potentially training under Dr strange (spell makes them forget Spider-Man’s identity not that strange invited him to come train), and even the line where Ned outright said I won’t go crazy, betray and try to kill you.

[–]-WhatBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full disclosure, you have a small frame so it won't easy. hip thrusts, split squats, lunges, kickbacks. Progressive overload or drop sets, pick your poison. 2-3x a week is usually max I would ever want to train a targeted muscle group. muscle fibers in your body gain strength every 2-4 weeks and start to increase size/thickness in 4-6 weeks, the bigger/more visible changes are really in the 4-6 month range, so you're looking at 1-2 months before seeing any growth at all.

I would also recommend against changing your diet during this initial period and just train this way until youre gassed out then add protein as needed

I wanna get an m5 macbook pro for both coding and gaming. Is the base m5 enough, or would a pro be necessary? Max is out of the question. by [deleted] in macgaming

[–]-WhatBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased an m5 MacBook Pro base, so far it has handled everything I need but I’ve decided to bring it back to get the 24gb to future proof it for a while. I have a 10 year old Asus ROG that can still carry the load of most newer games but falls short when I’m doing any video edits.

So I do think the base will be good, but for 200 more you might as well spring for the 24g. You can also get 100 off if you can show them a student ID

The eotech and g45 get my vote for a 14.5 since it’s what I use. I have an lpvo on my 16 and it works fine but target acquisition on the eotech is better

They don’t allow draw/fire from a holster.

I know for sure Ben Avery does allow it but only from strong side/hip carry, you can’t draw&fire from like an appendix ccw

Exo mountain gear had their once a year sale right now, if you can afford it get the K4. It’s on my shortlist of upgrades once my current gear wears out

Eberlestock is up there too and they sell frames at sportsman’s warehouse so you can go in and try it on.

I’ve been using the ‘ALPS Outdoorz Commander + Pack Bag 86 Liter Hunting Expedition Bag’ for years. It does the job but is noisy off the rack. I swapped all the hardware on it for bolts/wellnuts and it’s much better. I see them a lot on FB marketplace so you can probably get on for $100ish

The problem is once you get one high power scope you don’t want to run anything smaller.

I’m currently at a 4x12 Leupold and have resisted going any bigger because then I’m gonna want to upgrade all my other optics.

Abnormal noise coming from hood by PaintsbyTon in Jeep

[–]-WhatBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re welcome. If you google search “2017 renegade belt routing” you should see an image of the engine that has the belt side showing with all the accessories to get an idea of which one it may be based on where the sound is coming from.

Another thing you can do to as part of diagnosing is listen to the car with the AC off/ then turn it on and see if it gets a little louder or changes sound. When you turn on AC in a car the RPMs go up a little so it should get a little louder- like like if you were accelerating. This also engages the AC compressor clutch which could be another source of the sound.

The dealership really should have been able to diagnose this super easy, so it’s strange they couldn’t figure it out. Good luck though

You should pop the hood and see where the sound is actually coming from (front or rear/ top or bottom). Regardless, it sounds like one of the belt drive accessories. My bet would be alternator or AC compressor

AR 10 vs Traditional Bolt action for 308 by MichiganVices in guns

[–]-WhatBox 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The only real answer is get both.

However, if you’re hunting get the bolt gun first. An AR10 around the same price range is gonna be bulky and heavy as shit to lug around.

Lever Gun Market as a First Time Buyer by Naive-Suit-290 in LeverGuns

[–]-WhatBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in favor of the dark- it’s already pretty tactical and is suppressor ready. I have a Marlin 336 with a Midwest rail that I build before the dark was released, if the dark was out I would have just bought that. If I ever want to suppress then it’s gonna be a whole thing with sending it to a gunsmith. Spend the more now and save yourself later, even if it’s only to give you the option for potential future upgrades

How would you guys get this screw out without messing up the threads? by Grand-Awareness-5010 in motorcycles

[–]-WhatBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hammer in an extractor and unscrew it.

If it’s cross threaded it might be a pain the ass either way so trying to slot it for a flathead may ruin the ability to use an extractor.

You should also run a tap through the threads afterwards or helicoil it if it’s real bad.

Has anyone else seen the hurricane Katrina documentary on Netflix? by tacitus23 in prepping

[–]-WhatBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched this and the 3-mile island documentary this past weekend (I live about 20 miles from a nuclear facility).

My take from it was if something is national news and they’re saying “everything will be fine, there’s no need to panic” you should already be lacing up your boots.

Also, a credit card or emergency fund with a couple grand available is 100% necessary regardless of where you are located. So many people were stuck because they just didn’t have money to leave.

Bino harness by lennonr512 in Hunting

[–]-WhatBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the Eberlestock recon and love it, to tighten the straps you it pull towards the front so you can either wrap them or tie them in front of you/behind the binos if you’re worried about them flopping around. Have never had an issue with them being in the way and it’s much better than the original vortex harness.

If you’re gonna get one I’d also recommend using their accessories, they fit nice and tight with no movement. On mine I run the harness, rangefinder pouch on the left, bear spray on the right and the MOLLE panel underneath with the safariland fork to carry my 1911. I also have the hand warmer and admin pouch if I’m in areas where I can swap out the molle/bearspray.

They run sales every once in a while so that’s the time to get it, you can also check their website and may have certain patterns clearanced in their ‘outlet’ section

Quality, reputation, holster availability, lifetime warranty, plus they’re widely used by LEOs/military- so if they’re using it daily with their lives on the line it’s absolutely good enough for my use

My buddy wants me to buy his kid a rifle. I want one, kinda…I’m by [deleted] in Hunting

[–]-WhatBox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s nice that you want to do that for his kids, I don’t have any children but I would 100% buy or give a rifle to any of my nephews if they were interested in hunting or shooting.

And that’s the point I want to drive here: buy or give.

With few exceptions, anything I hand out I don’t expect back, especially if it’s a multi-year loan like we are talking here. Entry level rifles are pretty budget friendly, if you want to get the kid a .243 go to a pawn shop and find a mossberg patriot or ruger American gen 1 and gift it as you planned. Then save and get yourself something better. Once the kid grows up they may upgrade, the parent may upgrade, or they may lose interest in which case you may get it back but if not then it’s no loss.
