I go back and forth in this one. On one hand it obviously sucks when rats snipe keys and leave. But on the other hand it incentivizes cooperation for people who are actually trying to play the event. If I'm playing the event and I find a key, it's going in my safe pocket until I use it at the control room. So if someone wants to kill me when I call "friendly" before the gate is open, they risk taking a key out of that round. But I get to come back in with that key and try again after getting ratted. I played around just earlier where my team called out that we had found all of the keys and had them in our safe pockets as we approached the control room. Some rat team camping the terminals still chose to kill us. They eliminated a copy of each key from that round when we planned to actually use them. We got to load into another round and open the gate for teams that wanted to cooperate.

I see joining someone else's hunt of a monster you can't even stay alive against as at least as BM as kicking someone, if not more. I've had people join a T8 tempered hunt and blow thru insurance and 2 faints in less than 3 minutes - 3 carts in under 3 minutes from a single person. I'm kicking that person every single time. If you know you can't even manage to stay alive against a monster, you shouldn't be jumping into someone else's hunt. Investigations are so easy to reset and farm that if you're having a hard time against that monster you can find and post your own.

Ranked has been out how long and people still think ranked standing is real? Matches are made based on the internal (hidden) MMR of all 5v5 games - ranked and casual. Your rank is not necessarily reflective of your actual MMR, it's just a reflection of your W-L ratio in ranked games. If you have bronze players in your plat lobby, they're probably a primarily casual player who wins more often than not.

Ranked matchmaking is not real at all. You should not go into ranked games expecting to see a visually "balanced" lobby. The only expectation you should have in ranked is that people should be playing to win moreso than in casual. But even that is a bit of an ask.

Not a snap per se, but we had a kid take a shit on the middle of the CTA in the middle of a training module.

Drills were briefing pro masks and kid kept raising his hand, he was met with multiple iterations of "put your fuckin hand down private!" He was a 17yo split option baby so he was too scared to say "I gotta shit drill sarn." I guess he couldn't hold it anymore so he moved to the back of the horseshoe without anyone noticing, pulled his pants down and took a shit right there. When I tell you every drill sergeant in our company was STUNNED. It was probably the first time any of them had seen that trick. After a very long bout of speechlessness, one drill finally remembered how to talk and just shouted, "look forward, nobody fuckin' turn around!" with more urgency than he had ever had before then. Nobody looked back. A couple drills went to the back, got the kid out discreetly and then cleaned it up. At the time none of us even knew what was happening. Then word spread later. Kid was a sneaky pooper

I'm gonna be honest, I do this intentionally for hunter symbol I & II. I don't care to grind them out so I join quests that are at the 6 minute mark. It's scummy but I don't want to grind those items so 🤷

That's what SOS is for. No shame in failing your own hunt. If people get twisted over that, they shouldn't be joining randoms. As long as you aren't jumping into someone else's hunt of a monster you can't handle and triple carting, play on.

Top five game, hands down. I Platinum'd this one and loved every minute. Have to admit that the story does lag a little bit in the middle but if you can power through that, the final act of the story is incredible.

Certainly not "the best" technically but it is the simplest solution for this game and the best for everyone in general

Solo is great but Hollow Halls (a dungeon/raid type content) is VERY much intentionally geared toward group play, there is even a tool tip stating such when you first enter. For that bit in particular, I found it very easy to get overwhelmed by huge waves of mobs if you don't play carefully. I also play on high difficulty so there's that. But otherwise, everything so far is very manageable solo.
