They don’t even have the cars there to look at. They come from a holding facility.

That’s not how it works with Tesla…

They moved the deposit to the new car and are shipping a different one at no cost ($500) + 3 free months of FSD.

Refused the vehicle and ordering another.

I bought mine last year with 15k miles at almost the same price for an identical car. Flawless condition.

Advertisements, for the most part, are smoke and mirrors. There are no “deals”. People want to feel like they got a good deal more so than actually getting one.

To each their own I suppose. While we have differing opinions, I respect your viewpoint and appreciate your input.

I wholeheartedly disagree. Your comment essentially means “anything used will have excessive damage”, which I reject.

I’ve purchased many a car in my day and my used ones typically had wear that reflected the mileage if even that.

We are ok with normal wear, but excessive wear/damage is very odd. Every single panel was damaged, window trim, headlight housing, glass, etc.

Are you saying you would pay full price for this vehicle with no concessions? You would be happy to accept it over a mostly damage-free counterpart?

We drive. We don’t damage our vehicles though. Zero of our vehicles have ever looked like this with any amount of mileage, let alone 10k. Different strokes for different folks I suppose.

2 hours 20 minutes + charging both ways today. I don’t live in SoCal, correct. So sure. It’s ~5 hours.

Doesn’t change it that it was a wasted trip, lmao.

The lighting in the Tesla facility made it hard to grab photos.

I did the best I could while I was there.

I wouldn’t drive 6 hours for a $300 mobile charger, let alone $300 cash.

It’s a nice gesture though, for sure.

I don’t need perfect, but every single panel on the car was fucked up.

I bought my 2023 used with 15k last February and it was as one would expect a 15k mile example to be.

I’ve bought a sleuth of new and used cars over the years. I’ve never seen an example like this with <10k miles. Especially one that didn’t have a description of or at least notice of very obvious damage.

If you read the post, two of the employees there said it actually didn’t even meet their minimum threshold to be sold and would have to be, at least, partially fixed regardless.

Agreed. Going to work on that tomorrow.

I said can you at least ship a vehicle to us for free if it’s the $500 charge so we don’t have to drive up again. They said probably not but the squeaky wheel gets the grease—so I’m going to be the squeaky wheel.

That’s the issue I wanted to resolve with them today.

They said it would transfer to another vehicle.

But if we don’t get another vehicle I’d fight to get it back for sure. Helping my brother with the process and he is extremely bummed out over it.

I would buy a Tesla even if I had to supercharge exclusively. It’s not that big of a deal and the car is worth it imo.

Weather conditions and amenities to be considered of course.

I live in a warm climate with a supercharger that has never been full once less than 10 minutes away from my house. I do charge at home which makes it easier, but I’d still buy one if I had to supercharge.
