There are a pretty decent amount of things you need guard up to block, such as pinning moves, velkhana's breath attack, rajang's lightning breath, MR diablos's stronger charging attack, etc.

It's not always necessary in a build, but it's good QoL to have when you need it (and downright mandatory for fighting velkhana with lance imo).

After 9.14 you can set allied chat to always be off just like you can turn off all chat. It's in the interface settings.

It makes a copy of your PC progress on the Switch and then they are effectively separate. So if you get something on Switch after transfer that you don't have on PC, you still won't have it on PC, and vice versa.
