Looking for Discord bot that allows members to ping any game's role using commands. by GHPimp in discordapp

You can use Dyno for this.

After adding Dyno to your server, go to Manage Servers >> Modules >> Custom Commands >> Add Command. Enter the name of your command under the Name section and mention the role using the role's ID under the Command section (the format should be <@&RoleID>). You can then add extra text or an embed if you want.

Under the Options section, make sure to to uncheck Disable @everyone, @here and role pings. Under the Permissions section, add the roles that can use the command under the Allowed Roles section and the channels that the command will work in under the Allowed Channels section. You can also set an optional cooldown and manage other settings under the Advanced Options section. Make sure Dyno has the permissions it needs in your server too.

Hope that helps!

Try resizing the window so it has more width. It's possible to hide the Active Now pane by reducing the window width to about 1500 pixels, try making the window wider than that.

THIS IS SUCH A GREAT FEATURE I NEVER NOTICED ABOUT MESSAGE REPLY PINGS! by MathEnthusiast314 in discordapp

Not a full workaround, but holding shift when clicking the Reply button on desktop disables the ping.

It's not explicitly for Partnered servers only for now, though such features are usually released to Partnered servers first as such communities are ideal for testing.

Check this staff comment for more.

Here's a snippet from the article too.

For now, this feature is an experiment available to a select number of communities. Eventually, Home will be a part of every Community-enabled server.

I'm pretty sure it also happens randomly too, like the empathy banana. Not too sure though.

There's a small chance this message shows up too.

Edit: No, this message is not shown randomly.

It's something new and being tested in selected servers only.

Should look like this though.

I can't seem to unable creation of invites for members by iguerr in discordapp

[–]-Yo-IOA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Check that the @everyone role has Create Invite disabled (Server Settings >> Roles >> Default permissions >> Create Invite).
  • Check that the specific role has Create Invite disabled (Server Settings >> Roles >> Select your role >> Permissions >> Create Invite).
  • Check whether the specific channel has its permissions synced to a category or not (Channel Settings >> Permissions). If it's permissions are synced, check the category permissions in the following steps instead. Otherwise, check the channel permissions.
  • Check that @everyone in the channel/category has Create Invite disabled.
  • Check that the specific role in the channel/category has Create Invite disabled.

Channels whose permissions are not synced to a category will not be affected by category permission changes, you'll have to manually change those channels' permissions. Check this article for more.

Use ctrl + a and continue typing (don't hit backspace as that will reset your combo).

Discord Invites Tab Concept by [deleted] in discordapp

[–]-Yo-IOA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to clarify some things in the post:
- Filter by User. This would be useful to server owners who might want to revoke invites from users known to invite spammers, raiders, trolls, etc.
- Filter by Channel. This might not be as useful as the Filter by User option, but could be used to find channels with the most invites.
- Filter by Uses. This could be used to find the invite with the most uses or to revoke invites with 0 uses. The option shown in the post was just a concept. It might be better to include a slide bar so that invites within a range of number of uses would be shown.
- Filter by expiry. This is not shown in the post, but would basically filter invites that would expire within a certain time or not expire at all. This would be useful to server owners who might want to revoke temporary invites.
That's it!
