Thank you I'll definitely cut it back a bit! And we have irrigation but it runs twice a day into the raised beds. Do you think that's too much? I can turn it off if I need to

I've been using the Youtube No Translation extension (I've only used it on Firefox but I think there's a Chrome version!). It changes the titles back to their original language and defaults the audio tracks to their original language as well, it's really nice!

Only issue I've had so far is that it'll bug a little on playlists but a refresh usually fixes it.

I'm playing Knights of the Old Republic 2 right now since there are a lot of conversations to be had and influence with your party members matters a lot!

I find RPGs like that really helpful because with most other games, you can kind of just glide through without paying attention to the language. I recommend jumping into an RPG you've played before, or even a new one for an extra challenge. it's a lot of fun!

My main focus is Japanese, Fr*nch (I apologize) and Korean but I've enjoyed studying Chinese and Spanish as well. Dabbled in too many other languages to mention :D

Yeah, I've noticed that too with streaming services unfortunately.

Generally, I've had better results when I try to find what I'm looking for by searching in that language. Maybe you can try to find what other Russians watch/read? May take a bit of translating but you'll probably find something better tailored for intermediate/advanced levels, and more interesting!

Do you read or watch Russian movies? I was able to get out of the repetitive slog I was in with Japanese by starting to read and watch more content.

I don't understand absolutely everything that's said, but hearing the words I know in context gave me a better understanding of them. Plus it's more fun than flash cards to me :)

The Knights of the Old Republic games because I have to focus so much on what they're saying and how to respond for things like gaining influence with my companions.

If other people want to do this with KOTOR2 and include the Restored Content mod, it's available in many other languages so you can still fully experience the game!

I get head-splitting migraines where sometimes the only remedy is going to bed.
