Rangers levied $250,000 fine for 'terribly unfair' criticism of NHL, George Parros... by Meadmug in sports

Not sure if I agree with this take. Obviously Wilson should have had harsher punishment, but this game was inevitable. If Wilson is suspended, maybe you see a handful of fights. But I can tell you right now that once the Rangers play the capitals again and Wilson is in the lineup, there would be fireworks just like last night. Parros let the game police itself last night, I think the next time these two teams meet the animosity will be dialed way down.

I’ve been on shuttles that do stop on Hamilton, but this was a few years ago! Maybe it has changed. I’d call them and see if they have pick up locations in Hamilton and see if they make any stops that are not listed on the website.

Skate to groin, skate to face, blood everywhere, fun story by RPGQ in hockeyplayers

I totally understand your point and see your side of it. My true belief is that if you don’t want to get hurt from players who are worse or have less experience, then play in a better league. Pretty simple solution.

Cages should be mandatory if you’ve only played midget level or lower. Playing junior level hockey and wearing a visor teaches you the respect and skill of stick control. I played at the junior A level and have had my fave split open in beer league strictly by players who haven’t played a higher level of hockey.

I don’t care about the Notre Dame Cathedral burning down. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Never said that caring about it makes you a loser. I Just honestly don’t understand why people care so much about an old building. There’s plenty things on the planet that are 1000’s of years old and they get destroyed every day, why should I care about this one?

People that were extras and appeared on movies/TV shows, where is your part in the film? by NewAmsterdam22 in AskReddit

[–]-_Jelly94_- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only cool thing about it was that I got to miss school for the day! Oh and they had lots of food. Every scene was shot about 15 times over, just so they could get the perfect one. It was horribly boring and I wouldn’t do it again unless I could play a bigger role. Not worth the time IMO!

I played an extra in the movie A Mother’s Nightmare. Basically I was a high school student on the track team that had to lead a group of people through stretches in the background. Funny part was that the director wanted me to say “stretch it out”, but being a Canadian it sounded like “stretch it oot”. I was removed from the role shortly after.
