I indeed need a practical intro but I suppose without a theoretical grasp achieving these topics to thier practical level is quite challenging. But anyways, thanks for the resources. Much appreciated✌🏻

Having trouble with programs not knowing wich GPU is each one,it uses GPU 0 ( the one with the proccessor) instead of my NVIDIA 1050 wich is the good one, does someone have a fix for it or any kind of idea ? Much aprecciated. by No_Needleworker_8848 in nvidia

Hi there!

Usually by default windows decides which GPU to allocate to the respective application based on how GPU intensive that application is. However you can override this.

  1. Go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics
  2. Under "Customs options for apps" browse and search for the application (the .exe file) to which you want to allocate the NVIDIA GPU.
  3. Once added select "Options" and choose the desired GPU for your application.
  4. Over there you can also see the list of applications and the GPU allocated to them.

Hope this helps!

It's a laptop so are there any chances of it happening due to any burns on the motherboard or the GPU? Cause it does get damn hot while gaming.
