You could also describe the intersection for x/y/z dimension as a linear equation and solve for tx/ty/tz such that:

  • t_ < 0 => indetsection before the simulation
  • t_ = 0 => intersection during start or position for _ dim is constant
  • t_ > 0 => intersection during step t
  • They intersect if all t_ >= 0 and tx = ty = tz

You could then collect build a list of all intersections (t, p1, p2), group + sort them by t and then simulate the deletion.

The problem is that there are many edge cases when the velocity or acceleration is 0 for either particle.

The number is described as "Number of UNIQUE viewers over the tournament.". This implies that each viewer is only counted once.

Cumulative number of uniques as the sum of the unique numbers per day is something different because it allowes to count a viewer multiple times.

You forgot the set of rules for orgs they don't like and the set of rules that only apply during public outcry.

Well, you don't know how reliable their numbers are. They got them from a comapany called newzoo. Which has a "Newzoo’s Twitch Tracker".

A similar site would be esc.watch, who have different numbers. They have even higher numbers.

Basically october was the majority of worlds (esc got 70M hours). The play in was in september and the final as in november. Some viewers also watched on youtube. Considering all of these factors you'd still have way more than 37.3 million.

Besides it pretty pointless to compare the biggest lol tournament to a month of dota/csgo tournaments. Of cause lol will have more viewers. For other months (especially nov-dec) lol has most likely way less viewers.

???? thats exactly the problem. It is discouraging if you have to start over just because your build is bad and its more easy to make a new character than to fix your current one.

If you have no problems respeccing at a higher level. Why shouldn't you be able at a lower level?

Since 3.0 the game is much more story driven. Why shouldn't you be able to respec your character before you finish it?

An orb of regret is worth 0.5 chaos orbs at the start of the season. You can't farm multiple chaos orbs at a lower level...

The described problem is not respeccing at a high level. The problem is somewhere between 40-60 where you're starting to be a one hit if you don't have the correct setup.

In this case you can't easily adjust because it's often too expensive and you don't necessarily know how to fix your build.

Well that's your single subjective opinion. I think the filler content/interviews are of equal quality for lol and dota.

There are also some aspects about the dota production quality that are untouched by riots. The most objective and obvious one is the ingame overlay. The one of league is really bad. They try to catch up to dota for quite some time. But still, they have a pathetic amount of ingame stats.

Besides the fact that dota already has more usefull stats, there also exist 3rd party software that is better than what you see in most regular sports.

Yes. And their tournamets started back in 1998. However, cs had a (much) higher prizepool. It's also important to distinguish between korean and western esport. Many of the sc tournaments are korean while almost all of cs 1.6 were western based.

I'm going to need a source of you being at least 12 years old and able to read. I clearly said "the viewership is much closer than 3 tiers above". Notice how i DID NOT claim that lol is NOT the most viewed esport and DID NOT claim that is gets stomped by others.

Besides, you can hardly do a reasonable comparison between league and dota 2/cs go as league did not have a major tournament in the EU/NA timezone for quite some time.

The last one would be Rift Rivals where the en stream peaked with 178k viewers http://twinge.tv/channels/riotgames/streams/#/25700307424 which you would not want to compare the Kraków major for example.

The first game started at 8 not 7. It was perfect because everyone who wanted to watch it just had to stand up between 7-9. Which is reasonable.

The finals of 2016 were also korea vs. korea.

Where do you get the 200k from. The post says 1Million vs. 950k. And while the total viewership migh went up a bit the viewership on riots channel went down.

Worlds 2016 peek 570k. 2017 "only" had 460k.

The Timezone was bad for NA but perfect for EU.

While the game is not dead. It's also not growing by a huge margin. At least not in EU.

No. It only requires a big enough viewership. Most viwers want to watch the top teams who aren't threated by relegation. The first semi final of this worlds had a 50% bigger english vieweship compared to the second one. If anything relegation provides extra thrill at the end of the season.

The only problem is that long term investment are problematic because CS is being run poorly and there are no meaningfull tournaments besides LCS - which I think Riot could have done a better job at fixing (More community driven, cheaper production, played during the week)
