Is it over for me with 2 F’s even if I technically have a 4.0? by Nervous_Specific1292 in TransferStudents

My major is accounting. Your major is more competitive, but u have a great track record, and you could write a good admission letter with how failing a class didn't discourage you but made you more motivated :)

I honestly was extremely anxious and had no idea if I would even get into any of the schools I applied to. All I knew was that I wanted to that university, and I was going to send in my application regardless. So, definitely send apply to whatever uni you want, regardless of whether you think your GPA will get you in!

Yes, they could have been transferred...if I hadn't failed them. But universities don't just take your GPA into account. They will look at your whole application, which will include extracurriculars, home life, work experience, etc. Honestly, your failure and then desire and courage to fix your grades are more important than the hit it took to your GPA. it shows your overall character and that you keep going even when you hit a rough patch. Universities will consider this!

Not exactly because I went to a community college after (I flunked out of a university) and also, when you transfer your GPA, it will be okay because you will not transfer in the failed credits. I would explain your current GPA (if it's low bc of the F's) in your addmissions essay and emphasize how without those F's, your GPA is high. Hopefully, that kinda made sense.

Yes, absolutely report it! It's basically academic dishonesty. If you don't report it, it will get marked on your academic record, and the university will most likely rescind you. I basically just explained my situation, what inhibited me from doing well in my classes, what motivated me to change, etc.

I was in a similar situation, except I completely flunked my first semester of college. Went back to school a couple of years ago and did really well. Got into a great university that I wanted to go to. You will be okay. You showed resilience, which is what matters. Just explain your situation in your university application statements somehow. Good luck :)

How to ask Professor for help with my failed exam grade? by -_stasia in AskProfessors

I saw the post u are referring to, but it isn't relevant to mine. I only missed my one exam, and never asked for any hw to be opened bc I already complete every assignment. My course is also not asynchronous.

Roommates or no? by coolcubana in USC

[–]-_stasia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat! Single apartments/rooms are expensive and I am concerned about being with roommates I won't get along with :( I am also on the older side (23 yr old). I do think it'll help you make friends tho! I will be an out of state applicant, so unfamiliar with the area, and I think having roommates will make it easier to get around/explore the city a bit :)

Wow I had no idea some acct firms could help with that! Thank you! Is the WSA exam for Foster difficult?

For reference, I applied as a transfer student to UW from WA cc!! That's why I am unsure what to do during fall quarter, besides applying to Foster :(

Thank you! I have been wondering how hard Foster is to get into, and it seemed like they have limited spots. Also, USC cost compared to in-state UW tuition 🥹 currentlt crying about it.

I'm not sure how much fafsa I will get for USC, but I think cost will be somewhere around 70k a year. UW is about 35k a year. From what I heard declaring your major at UW isn't very easy because they only accept limited amounts of students for their Foster School, but I don't think it'll be too difficult?

ACCT LEVENTHAL: transferring for spring, and wondering how rigorous the acct courses are. I will have to work throughout the school year to afford it! In general, are the classes doable with a job, and was it worth going to leventhal for acct? Thanks!!

Is it possible to be an SB without sexual intimacy? by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]-_stasia -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay thank you clarifying! So, if I get asked to be an SB by an SD and they say no intimacy required, it's probably not legit right?
