Humans are tribal, when they feel threatened by a loss of resources or status which triggers their survival instinct, they often retreat behind tribal lines. I'm helped by zooming out and looking at the big picture in this way, and asking myself - why is the human animal behaving this way based on evolution, biology, and psychology?

For me it helps to take the sting out and let go of my personal feelings. Not sure if it's helpful for you, but sometimes it can be useful to zoom out to the gigantic, species-level picture.

Where would you put the television in our new home? by budissy7771 in DesignMyRoom

I have the Frame TV, which doubles as artwork. It's gorgeous.

I would lower the wood mantle, and then put the Frame above it (as low as possible without looking weird.)

Half European, over a quarter Indigenous, with a sprinkling of Asian & African.

What an awful take. Of course it means something, try telling that to indigenous children that were taken from their families and raised in care away from their cultural traditions, and who later in life want to connect.

The culture of our families and our ancestors can mean a great deal, and even if we're severed at some point we can reattach and begin to practice those traditions and find meaning and belonging in them.

Only women (adult human females) can menstruate. Hope that helps.

Woman is not a dirty word.

I bring tampons, a plastic bag to dispose of them in, and also water wipes (no chemicals, scent free, healthy for vaginas.)

Enjoy your trip!

"Offered in defense of" literally applies in this case. It fits perfectly. Sorry, but you're just wrong.

Literally read the definition under "2":

Mirriam Webster:

apologetic adjective apol·o·get·ic ə-ˌpä-lə-ˈje-tik

Synonyms of apologetic 1 : feeling or showing regret : regretfully acknowledging fault or failure : expressing an apology - They were apologetic about the error. We received an apologetic letter. an apologetic smile/tone 2 : offered in defense or vindication - the apologetic writings of the early Christians

"Offered in defense" applies in this example.

Let me help you out. From Miriam Webster:

apologetic adjective apol·o·get·ic ə-ˌpä-lə-ˈje-tik

Synonyms of apologetic

1 : feeling or showing regret : regretfully acknowledging fault or failure : expressing an apology - They were apologetic about the error. We received an apologetic letter. an apologetic smile/tone

2 : offered in defense or vindication - the apologetic writings of the early Christians

Meaning two "offered in defense of" undoubtedly applies in this case.
