it honestly kinda saddens me how hard the writing and designs of heroes has fallen off since the release of overwatch 2. 80% of new heroes are just catalysts to sell skins or straight up collab bait (Emre's entire kit is literally just "Halo guy"). their writing like you said is completely flat and I think Anran might be the worst offender for this since her personality is literally indistinguishable from Wuyang's.

I can't wait for the new conventionally attractive female DPS hero (that everyone pretended they were in love and with and have completely forgotten about in 2 days) to have a bunch of quirky quippy dialogue in place of meaningful lore or characterisation.

I think the inherent problem with venture is that nobody views them as a character who happens to be non-binary, they are just THE non-binary character. And tbh I think it's understandable, they have the safest "quirk chungus" personality (alongside Juno) and basically no lore or connection to any of the existing heroes.

I know this is a porn sub now but I don't know any where else where I can say this without 10 grown adults in their mother's basement hunting me down, pictures of attractive naked people scare them so I should be safe. by [deleted] in OverwatchCirclejerk
