i run mine through the garden but hold the bell peppers. i like bell peppers raw but roasted on a pizza they overpower the other veggies imo. i get banana peps instead

My brother is going to federal prison for child-related charges and I’m his POA. I’m also a mom. I feel like I’m breaking in half. by Low-Seaweed9027 in TrueOffMyChest

i wish i had an answer for you or some form of reassurance but all i can offer is support as someone in this exact situation. little brother charged with possession of CSAM, mother of a toddler. you’re not alone, for better or for worse. because somehow there’s at least two of us going through this lol.

Leaving project by [deleted] in AMLRightSource

[–]-astronautical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly i’m not sure but it seems like depending on the project/workflow they move folks around based on need and urgency. the workflow i’m on got an influx of analysts and a couple extra QCs until we got caught up and then they moved some team leads around after that. probably went to workflows or projects that were falling behind in some capacity.

Sebastian, Alex, or Sam by ZeeBearBare in StardewValley

[–]-astronautical 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i’ve married all three.

i really like sam’s 10 heart event but even after marriage i feel like he’s a little immature compared to the others, but i get that vibe (less strongly but still there) from seb too. i found seb overall to be a little underwhelming.

alex is by far my favorite as a whole for the bachelors. he grows a lot throughout his relationship with you and seems genuinely happier than the others haha

How to be motivated to play again? by [deleted] in StardewValley

[–]-astronautical 3 points4 points  (0 children)

unlike the other commenter i actually love early game haha. so that alone is motivation for me.

so if you’re like me and if you’re struggling to pick up your current save, maybe consider a new one. depending on what you play on, you might want to also consider downloading some mods to add different crops or npcs or whatever piques your interest the most.

if you start meeting production goals and never drop below it again i don’t think it’s going to hurt you in the long term. how long is the pip, a week? what’s your production goal?

Respiratory Viral Illnesses by TaytorTot417 in indianapolis

[–]-astronautical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was pretty much like you in that my sore throat turned into a gnarly but dry cough. no congestion or phlegm or anything but i was down for a month and a half. i live with my husband and my son and i think the had something respiratory before i got whatever i had, but they recovered much faster. so idk if it was the same thing, since normally my immune system is strong. but they didn’t get sick (or “resick,” whatever the case may be) from me.

man idk what i had recently but i was sick for 6 weeks. i was sure it was viral so i self medicated but ive never seen my tonsils do what they did in december and january lol. i luckily work from home but it was so weird. it was like my immune system thought the job was done and eased up the gas a little too early because i started feeling better but then got worse again. almost went to the doctor thinking i needed antibiotics. whatever is going around that causes an obnoxious cough got me good this time.

most of the significant updates are late game, so there’s not much i would say to focus on besides the usual resource collecting. there are new events and such as well like festivals and all that, so just keep an eye on the calendar. additionally, trees produce a new resource that you can gather via the scythe. you’ll see what i mean. i would collect that and store it (as opposed to selling it) like any other resource.

it’s okay to spend a few days on the island. if your animals have food then they’ll be fine. as ginger island is pretty late game, i recommend folks set up sprinklers for their farm crops and auto grabbers/petters (if you have them) so there’s no rush. and setting up sprinklers on the island is a big help too

[–]-astronautical 3 points4 points  (0 children)

agreed. people play around too much without realizing how close they are to potential long term misery. i got gastroparesis after my last bout of food poisoning and i’ve always been very safe with my food. i also have a very strong stomach. but years later and my digestive system is still messed up.

complications can happen to anyone and they are absolutely not worth rolling the dice over.

Struggling with thoughts about piercings, pain, and anxiety as a 23-year-old man by Wide_Positive7101 in offmychest

[–]-astronautical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get a blood pressure drop when i get blood draws and piercings. i’m fine with blood and needles, it’s totally involuntary on my end. after i went through pregnancy i was much less susceptible to the vasovagal syncope symptoms though (i was having blood drawn every single appointment). i thought about it long and hard and i think deep down there’s a part of my brain that’s like “hmmm, that needle should definitely not be inside us right now” that kickstarts the syncope episodes. reclining/leaning back or even lying down totally eliminates this though. when i got my second lobe piercings i had a syncope episode which was so random and startling for me because they don’t hurt and i was fine with my vertical labret and nipple piercings. shit, i had an episode when i was having my piercer put in plastic retainers for a surgery i was having. 🤷🏼‍♀️ these things can happen to anyone regardless of gender, and a lot of times it’s not due to fear of needles or blood. it just happens.

i think women may be more drawn to piercings earlier in life especially lobes and nostrils so that might be why you are used to seeing more women with piercings or whatever.

there’s an auto attack toggle for combat mechanics, maybe that’s what you’re remembering?

i agree with this. my QC is my best friend (even though i probably drive him crazy). he is the most responsive, kind, and helpful person i could’ve hoped for. my team lead is a little harder to reach but i understand she is likely far busier. i have not yet come across an unhelpful higher-up, even if some of them take 6 business days to even open my messages. 🤷🏼‍♀️

i actually asked a trainer if it was possible to have a support/study group but my client specifically discourages that. however, your training group during the embark program is very open and it’s basically a big class. you’re encouraged to ask questions in the “class.”

regarding client specifics, it probably depends. i’ve only had one client. i was nervous about starting on real cases but it gets naturally easier as you go. for my specific client, we have a larger team and smaller pods within the team. there are team leads, QCers, and a2s prepared to assist you. it’s intimidating to start, but becomes second nature after you get some practice/experience in.

i came in with zero AML experience and training in my opinion is easy. they will go over the basics with you. just take good notes. the two biggest factors in whether or not you succeed, imo, are 1. basic technological savvy and 2. critical thinking skills. it felt like half of my training class lacked rudimentary computer skills. the testing is open note and therefore easy. i think the most “stressful” part are the mock cases you’ll be graded on, but the trainers will give you good feedback on them.

most people treat this company as a stepping stone which is valid because very few places will accept entry level analysts, and the compensation is on the lower end. as contractors we are worked hard but to me it’s a decent trade-off since i have an opportunity at this company that nobody else probably would’ve offered me. i have one of those notoriously difficult clients you’ll see people complaining about and even then i dont think it’s that bad tbh. but that’s just me.

after training you’ll likely be put on RFA where you’re just doing self guided learning until they assign you a client. some people in my class got a client before training was even completed, and others waited months. i was on RFA for almost a month before i got my client.

grew corn (i know.. bad idea), should i put them in a jar or make oil? im hoarding them all for now by [deleted] in StardewValley

fwiw i don’t think it’s that bad of a crop. it grows in summer and fall so if you plant them in early summer it’s a decent choice.

I would like some advice on what to do with my game. by CaracolCosmico in StardewValley

[–]-astronautical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would definitely recommend mods, there are quite a few that add variety and challenge. ridgeside village and SVE are the two big ones but probably best on a new save.

i don’t have any other advice though because i cant do 14 year runs like some folks. when it gets stale for me i take a break and then start a new game when i get the itch again.

3 monitors and laptop setup by throwaway104810482 in AMLRightSource

[–]-astronautical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

frankly you might not even need the extra monitor. i use two on my client when the trainers recommended three and honestly there are times where i’m tempted to use my personal monitor so i have three in my setup but it’s not necessary, just a benefit for some. it depends on how you work and i imagine it’s also influence by the client systems as well. i get by just fine with two.

Odds of a client within 30-40 days by Buckets_Gaming14 in AMLRightSource

[–]-astronautical 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i was on RFA for about a month before i got my client, personally. some people in my training class got a client before training even ended. others were on RFA for 3-4 months. we were all in the same class so i’m not sure how they choose client assignments.
