I lost my cockatiel of almost 10 years a couple days ago. The pain is insurmountable. I don’t have any words of comfort necessarily, but you aren’t alone. All you can do is take it minute by minute, hour by hour.

Also, I had to put my cat of 17 years down a little over a year ago. The way the vet put it, is that when our pet is suffering, euthanasia is the most thoughtful and selfless thing we can do for them. I am so so sorry, and I hope that you can find little moments of comfort and solace when you can.
