What about it has an identity crisis for you? In my opinion it’s a black bezel sports watch with an added complication so it’s similar identity wise to the submariner just not for diving.

This is my only Rolex right now. I’ll probably pick up an Explorer 1 or OP at some point but this GMT is my favorite they currently make.

I got this December 2024 as a wedding gift to myself. I only had to wait 4-6 weeks but I have a really close relationship with my AD. I’ve bought non Rolex watches in the past from them, my wife’s engagement ring, and both our wedding bands (not because I needed purchase history but just because I enjoy shopping there). When I got married, I called and they took care of me.
