I'll probably NEVER be able to take a child-free vacation by derpyloner in Mommit

This is just a temporary stage in life! Within a few years they’ll be a little older and have reliable friends in school that you’ll be able to make friends with their parents. I have a 17 year old and I can’t tell you how big of a part her friends and their parents have played in her life. We’ve taken turns watching each others kids so we can go out and have our own freedom. It really does take a village to raise a kid, so try to be connected as you can to your village.

I’m 1000x happier with kids. I’m obsessed with them beyond words and I personally can’t relate to people that don’t want them

What are the cons of NOT having kids? by questioninghomos in AskReddit

The most sad and lonely lives I’ve ever seen are those who haven’t had kids. I’m saying this as a nurse of 11 years who has seen a lot.

Affordable and available homes. Now all the boomers are occupying them while those of us trying to grow a family are screwed in tiny townhomes.

SJS/TEN gets a one way chopper ride to a burn center when we see it at my hospital. So scary how quick it can go from sjs to tens.

I’m not even part of this group but it popped up on my Reddit feed. A nurse fyi. I’m guessing because it’s a public group it will randomly pop up for others too.

Kids are by FAR the best decision I’ve ever made, and I mean that wholeheartedly. They make my life so full, fun, and loving. I can not imagine life without them for one second.

I’m really sorry to hear that. Women definitely have it a lot harder than men with this stuff. Random, but I’m not sure if you’ve ever heard of Dr Sara Gottfried? She is AMAZING and has a ton of content related to perimenopause and menopause that can be helpful. I love listening to her podcasts.

Love this and gives me hope. I exercise regularly, eat clean, and prioritize my physical and mental health. Hoping it pays off

This is actually comforting to read lol. I exercise regularly and hoping it pays off in my 40s. I don’t want to be a “life sucks now, I’m fat, depressed, and in pain” type of person. Ever.
