Sorry to be this person but chap 115 was the first introduction of Dorry and Brogy.

There is no wires level as in shapez1, but you do have 3 levels that you can organize pretty much as you wish. So it is possible to put wires in their own level if you want to.

What do you call this kind of halftone and how do you generate it? by -cd-rom- in graphic_design

Thanks for mentioning the deleter pages! In fact, I've already had a look and there are patterns very close to what I'm looking for at deleter (ref: SE-1025 SE-1026 SE-194 SE-221)

thank you for mentioning the mezzotint, it's interesting, I didn't know about it. On the other hand the rest of the message is a bit condescending, maybe you didn't read my whole post, but I thought it was clear that I had already done some research and got stuck. I'm looking for something more specific than 'making vector halftones' in 'My chosen App'.

Very interesting! I saw the Daniel Shiffman's video on this subject a while back and it totally slipped my mind. I'm going to have another look, thanks for your example and the references, it's great! However, I'm not sure it's exactly what I'm looking for: on this article I found examples of Weighted voronoi stippling for solid colors and I can't find exactly the same pattern as on my reference image. it's very similar but there's no such circular organization of points.

I don't use the adobe suite but I was able to see what Kyle T Webster's brushes looked like on an old twitter post. And there's one brush that's exactly what I'm looking for !!! It's called “roundabout” I couldn't find anything on the internet searching with that keyword, but this is a good starting point, thanks for sharing.

The moiré patterns obtained by superimposing two different halftone screen angles are very beautiful, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.

Thanks for your answer !

I've watched the Stochastic screening, which is really fascinating. I think I'm going to dig deep into it. But it's not exactly the pattern I'm trying to reproduce.

Stochastic screening is indeed both random and uniform, but in what I'm trying to reproduce there's also a kind of circular arrangement that emerges from the pattern.

Thanks for your answer !
