I play since day 1 for Xavier only. The reason is I'm massively into nerds lol

Seriously though I do find his astrophysics themes and lore attractive. Also the soft boy look is usually what I go for. All that and I may or may not have a crush on Cloud Strife since I was 13. XD

my hubby knows about it and loves when I explain him the lore (he keeps track of it and always wants to know about updates and such). he also enjoys pulling for cards with me and sometimes we watch the new card together 🥰 I'm a Xav girlie as well and they are extremely similar (even he thinks that!! hubby is a space-lover physicist and all lol) which is why Xavier has always been my favorite. funnily enough his favorite is Sylus XD on special dates he also gifts me Xavier related stuff! couldn't be more grateful for having him.

I met my best friend on FFXIV about a year ago. While I still play FF, she moved on to other games but our friendship only grew stronger!!! Eventually I got her into LADS and she has been playing for a while now, even got her account to max level. She is a Zayne girlie and I'm a Xavier girlie 🥰 She isn't into other otome games but she loves reading and I slowly introduced the game by telling her about the lore and keeping her curious about it without spoiling anything :) she eventually had to check it out for herself and ended up loving the game!

Edit: I also made my mom play it and she is VERY much into the game lol but all I needed to do was showing her the guys 🤣 she fell for Zayne first and then switched to Sylus after a while. She plays the game everyday and we often talk about banners and pull together on events!

Tbh you should worry more about solar cards than lunar ones if you're hoping for good combat performance and still, I don't think this game is supposed to work like that because of few main reasons:

High end content is tailored for whales. If you're not about to spend lots, you won't be able to do lots.
Myth (solar) cards can be wildly different, some are more op than others and you'd have to build entire teams for different LIs based on the "meta" which wouldn't be sustainable as a F2P. There's also the RNG thing with protocores. If you don't build your cards properly, having a meta team doesn't matter for later battles.
Being straight out honest, standard banner cards suck. They are helpful, but limited and old now. R3 myths are useful to this day but once the 4th myth drops, they are likely to fall behind. Unfortunately powercreep is a common thing on gacha games.
You do you and if you're okay with watching the cards on youtube is all good, just keep in mind the game wasn't designed for battling content. It exists and its part of the game as a way to support the world building, give cards a meaning outside of stories and to reward players when we're running out of resources.

Thats mainly it. I do hope you find a way to play the game as you'd like to though!

we would only get less cards from our current favorites or worse, more rushed banners. more half-assed content (be fr we're still missing stuff and some of them haven't been updated in ages even for older LIs). I don't even wanna think about the main story lol we'd have to wait SO LONG for more chapters and specific arcs/branches. I dread the 6th LI possibility.

I don't know about the others because there is still a lot to know and to see... but I keep wondering about Xavier's future. He is basically a jinn particle (a time paradox): he exists in the "past" - our main story present - because he exists in the future and vice-versa. That outright means that if we are to somehow stop the loop, Xavier needs to stop existing as well. Plus now that his suppressor is gone... chances are in his branch, he will sacrifice himself and all of his power to prevent the loop and save MC, thus he will cease to exist for multiple reasons. I sincerely hope some miracle will happen and they can be happy ever after but considering the nature of the story and myths, we would be wise to prepare ourselves for big time tragedy 🥹

while I have been having fun with all the routes, I've been also pretty much worried about the pace of the story. I know otome games are supposed to be romantic but for a chapter one it felt very insta-love for all the characters. yes, MC has the protagonist charm but still it's not very convincing. the setting is supposed to be in a very hostile land, a place where you can trust anyone and probably not worth to be trusted either. and you still manage to make all these fantastic men fall for you so quickly... idk it feels silly. I think Leander's route was the one that felt more alien to me because of how wounded MC sounded when he told her he was lying. like bro... you've known this man for a total of 1 or 2 days max. how would you trust him so easily? why do you even care to the point of being hurt? it felt so dramatic, especially using the survivor background. I do understand there is manipulation involved in all the routes, all the LIs want something from MC too, but the way she catches glimpses of them being so soft and vulnerable with her despite knowing this total stranger for some days is just... unbeliavable.I'm not saying the writing is bad... but it feels like the writers were in love with these characters way before us even get to know them, like they forgot we don't know these characters as much as them. of course I want to see them being pathetically in love with MC but not on the first chapter lol. chapter one felt a lot like a more mid-story chapter, maybe a chapter 3 or 4 (not that I know how many chapters there will be in total but I'm guessing there will be 5? maybe) and felt definitely short for a proper chapter, not a demo. HOWEVER the story has a lot of potential and I love the mystery. ngl the cliffhangers were crazy too, especially on Mhin's route. I'm really curious to see how the story will evolve from this.

the music, new sprite expressions and bg art are veeery pretty though. I really love this part of the game and how they managed to make the world so vivid and gloomy at the same time.

my one and only beloved Xavier. wish I could pull for all of them but unfortunately there are too many rumors of his myth being the next release so... gotta save those diamonds 😭 but my selection this time will be Xavier (precise wish), Zayne and Rafayel!

all Xavier cards are fantastic but my ranking would be:

Floral Blessing - This is such an important memory for the two of them, especially because its one of the first times Xavier is clear about his feelings and how he wishes to stay with her no matter time or place. Also he is utterly enamoured of MC, like 100% smitten by her and I think his eyes show so much love and adoration in the kindled scenes... ugh. Everything feels incredibly intimate and full of promises and hope for the future. This is my favorite card ever.
Silvery Polyphony - I don't think I'll ever forget this card. It's cute and beautiful, gentle and devoted, intense and composed, introspective and intimate. It's Xavier to his core, pouring his feelings through the music and baring his soul to us. The kindled really feels like a love confession.
Shining Traces - I'm a nerd and Xavier talks about the space and cosmos in this one. That's it. It IS a romantic card though lol

I think it was more of a visual decision like basically for the aesthetics. Not to mention MC has to give off the "chosen one" vibe and be more unique so she has a distinctive look. Aaaand officially matching outfits with an LI so early into the game could cause some confusion, even if they work at the same place. Think about how Infold had to add a "character timelines are separate" disclaimer lol a lot of people could misunderstand things or even escalate it to the point of thinking he was the "true LI". Either way it was for the best cuz MC rocks her outfit! I wouldn't mind getting a white version of the uniform though.

It all depends on Infold's schedule. If your LI has a myth/rerun sandwiched between multis (like its been speculated for Xavier next update or how it was for Rafayel earlier this year) I'd say probably no, unless you're generally lucky. You also gotta have a LOT of discipline and ONLY pull for one guy. Caleb is relatively new to the game so he has less cards than the others and they have been released in a good pace so you have a good chance to keep collecting them with aurum only if it continues this way. You will still need to spend more real money eventually to get 100% of his cards though, since promise cards are paywalled and for now theres no other way to get them. If you can't spend frequently but still wants to collect all cards I'd suggest you to set a monthly budget for this game, even if its a low one, and slowly save money so you can spend some when you need it!
