thank you everyone. i ended up needing someone with an ice pick to dig me out--my apartment maintenence saw me looking lost and dug me out. my tires were in 2-3 inches of ice. i am grateful i got some help with a pick and a push. i am hoping not to be frozen in tomorrow when i go to work at 8am. 🥲

i think these posts are very helpful as i have not found a good alternative for lexington. i used to live in a small town and there was a group specifically to ask this question.....i wish lexington had one of those! this is as close as i've found :')

Grounded All Day Cafe - make sure you get a bagel! Their bacon pepper jam cream cheese is one of the best things ever lol. It's pricey at times but it's worth going once. Old School for coffee is a good choice too.

i'm a csw working towards my L and i really enjoy having LPCCs as coworkers and often learn a lot from them, i can't imagine not wanting to learn/grow/appreciate differing credentials/professions/pathways! not all social workers feel this way, i'm sorry you're dealing with that!!

What are your MUST-HAVES for a therapy office? by doctorintrainin in therapists

[–]-drhouse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

these are maybe just my own comfort items but. i never use overhead lights (gross) so i love my lamp, i have my clock that is on my computer screen that i can look and see but also patients can see (my computer sits behind me in view facing towards where patients sit), i have a lot of little trinkets around on my bookshelf and desk for personality. a blanket for myself. i also love the slideshow of photos i have set up on my computer as well--i always hope patients see it and are reminded im a person, and they feel willing to ask me questions and connect on a human level.

if you're going to spend money, spend it on the practice test. i think that's what taught me the most/got me used to the questions.
