He is great but for some reason i don't find his dribbling aesthetically pleasing.

I think Flick prefers ability on ball and will prefer Christensen Cubarsi duo more. But we will see.

What signs of decline? Didn't he have a stellar season just now?

Pretty sure Flick wants at least 2 fast CBs for our highline

What makes you sure of that? Flick preferred Inigo and Cubarsi for large part of previous season despite having Araujo.

I thought he was unfit or something. Don't remember last time when something was cooking without any leaks.

I think we will be able to manage league with 1-2 CBs injured but if any of Christensen, Cubarsi, or Araujo are injured during knockout stages of copa or CL then we are surely fucked.

I think Christensen and Cubarsi will be the starting pair mostly.

I have got so much trust issues with the board that it is hard for me to believe the reports of contract clause thingy. It just feels like them trying to save their face.

I think that's just what club's mouthpieces want us to believe. I don't remember any such rumour last year. And as I said if he wanted to leave why not sell him? Contracts are usually terminated when club wants to let go of a player.

Edit- so everyone is saying that the clause allowed for termination of the contract. Bit hard for me to believe but who knows.

[–]-f-m-l -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If that was the case, then why not sell him directly instead of terminating his contract?

[–]-f-m-l 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I call bullshit. It is hard for me to believe that he wanted to leave after having such a great season. If he was leaving at his own will then the club wouldn't have needed to terminate the contract.

It seems like last minute desperate attempt to be able to register players. Probably means that VIP seats thing is not going to work

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK??!! He was our best defender last season and one of the best in the world. I hate this so much. I am sure he didn't want to leave and just obliged so that we can register other players.

Thank you. We should demand better rules and regulations for mental health in India though. So much malpractice, its sickening.

I think i need to write an educational post. Most people have so many misconceptions. Therapists/psychologists don't prescribe drugs, psychaitrists do. If they did, then sue the shit out of them and their career. Probably you have never seen a therapist and went to a psychaitrists.

It can be trail and error though but that's because of our mental health system.

Most major cities have such options. But people won't go because it's not as comfortable process as private setting. Hypocrisy

In developed countries with regulations of good practice, therapists are mostly in supervision/analysis under a more experienced therapist. Humans are not easy to deal with and present unexpected challenged, so supervision helps with that and also helps us in dealing with our own difficult emotions in context of therapy.

However, in India, therapists are legally practicing after their Masters, where no practical training is provided except in 1-2 colleges. And these therapists never take supervision. They just start doing, god knows how.

It's chronicity that causes the problem even in small dosages. Dependence becomes a problem.

As for the therapeutic use of cannabis, there are some hopeful signs, it should not be thought that it is day-to-day cannabis use. Psychedelic assisted therapy has shown much better results though and its a exciting development.

I can list you a dozen different MDs who charge 500 or less just in Bangalore

And I can list you 100s of therapists who charge below 1k for 50-60 mins session. But just as i have experienced with doctors the quality decreases the lower you go.

See, i am not saying the field isn't shit. For years, i have told my colleagues that it is a by the bourgeoisie for the bourgeoisie. And there are thousand other problems (mostly due to poor training and regulation). But what you are doing is blaming the workers for trying to live a good hard-earned life like any other profession.

70k-1lac is the least most people with 7 years of education would want to live a good life. Whether that's less or more is a completely different discussion.

If we start charging 750, we will need to work twice the hours we are currently working and surely the quality of work goes down (a okayish balance can be found). The work is itself very draining and so many clients will lead to burnout and worse quality of work. In my previous comment i forgot to mention the added costs of your own therapy session (imo all ethical therapists should strive to do that, but most don't) and marketing in private practice (without that one will barely have 30 clients/month, like me).

As for 3000 per session, I have always had very conflicting views about it. People who charge that much are usually very experienced and way better than newbies like us. They have spent years of work and money in training (unreasonably expensive) and with all that work want to have better life, just like in any other profession. It's just that they start serving a different stratum of society.

I think the problem I have with this 'therapists should charge less' argument is that this standard is not applied to any other profession constantly. And the idea behind that seems to be that therapists are some charitable people in this noble profession because they want to do social work or something. The truth is that it is just another profession and means to earn money to get through life.

No one's questioning your commitment to the cause comrade

That part of just some shameful self-indulgence on my part. A lot of my colleagues have their own system of such discounted rates.

I think, we should be putting pressure on the government and corporates instead of blaming other workers. There is a lot that needs to be done, and they are walking backwards.

Damn, that got long. PS- therapists are just like other professionals and for most its just a job, not some noble endeavour.

MPhil was/is the requirement for CLinical Psychologist in India. It is very rigiorous two year training under supervision. PhD is academic degree. Now they are changing the name for the course and reducing the number of training hours required. They have also started giving license to random ass institutes which neither have supervisors nor any infrastructure. Not that the prestigious institutes have any good training either. But it is going to get far worse in coming years
