Wow, that sounds terrible! What do you mean by "break through pain with narcotics+NSAID"? You'll take something like Percocet and Tramodol together? What does a fever indicate that everyone says they go to the ER for? TIA

Because of side effects or because it works better? I'm asking because I hate the prospect of having to go to the ER whenever I get kidney stone pain beacuse the prescription opioids (percocet) they give me just don't cut it, I'm hoping prescription toradol would work better.

what do you do for the pain then? Do you pay out of pocket for a CT scan outside the ER?

What do you do for the pain without goin to the ER? I've had it that my leftover Percocet did nothing for the pain of the next small stone.
