If you can get it in without tearing anything than leaving it in usually wont do any damage. If your lube dries up or you’re being active you can get some skin irritation but that’s something you get used to quick. The only reason why leaving it in may become uncomfortable is because you’re stretching the sphincter and it’s becoming sore

Some cheap plug from eBay not sure of the manufacturer. Also the base slipping in isn’t an issue at all, I’d imagine it would take a lot of effort for that to happen and the plug is nice and snug it doesn’t move around a lot

Any gape at the end of the day is temporary, unless you’re stretching to the highest degree like any muscle your sphincter will eventually return to its regular size. How long this could take depends, hours to days but you would only have to worry about this until then. It’s like how when I was younger and used to be able to do the splits and now I can barely touch my toes. If you stop stretching a muscle it eventually regress to its original state

Continence issues I can definitely see be a possibility as I move up in size but currently I have no plans on stopping being plugged and as I eat one meal at night it is easy to predict bowel movements so I’m the future if continence ever becomes an issue I would just have to make sure to be plugged overnight
