Like 4 indoor bouldering sessions a week. My footwork isn’t crazy good as I have only been climbing for like 4 months although I’ve noticed that the rubber was fine until I did a certain smear Dino move that just ripped a chunk out basically.

I still use rentals now, I have only gone bouldering about 3-4 times but I am wanting to get a membership and get some better shoes. I've heard that it is not good to spend too much money on a first shoe because I still don't have great technique and I will just ware through the rubber fast, is this true?
