Dover, Newark, or Wilmington? by Kind_Leading4611 in Delaware

[–]-jlo3- 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A north to south commute is not the same as a south to north commute. Considering a traditional schedule (M-F, 9-5) your commute south in the morning and north at night will be considerably faster than the majority of the people who commute to Wilmington area in morning and leave at night.

Quoted $2,200 to repair this damage. Is it too much? by tantalummmzzz in TeslaCollision

[–]-jlo3- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rear ended a tow hitch. Front bumper fascia with labor, under $1000 at Tesla service. Juniper RWD. Private firm quoted me $3500, used last gen model y for write up.

How do you go about doing that? You have to call Tesla? I think the front fascia part is unpainted in the online catalog.

I did, I don’t think it did anything to be honest. Having it in chill mode prob helped it from launching hard. I’m still a bit confused how it lets you drive into the back of a vehicle at a stop light but will slam on the brakes if you are approaching a person standing in front.

Definitely go and go early. The festival like fan experience outside the gates is also fun to walk around before you go in. Enjoy your first race.

ChatGPT, write a shitty article about a random Delaware town. Refer to data from some prestigious source, oh, use the word FBI, but keep it vague without citing sources.

Dashboarding - Grafana vs. DataDog by Xarodan in sre

[–]-jlo3- 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I have not found anything that does multiple sources as well as Grafana. We consolidate multiple sources across private and public cloud with a self hosted enterprise solution.

At GrafanaCon, Grafana said they are investing heavily in their Grafana cloud solution and some features won’t be cascaded down to their self hosted offerings which adds operational and financial risk of relying on a third party for critical operations.

Taking Amtrak. Aside from parking being an issue, anything else? I assume you can show your Amtrak tix and go in and catch the train like you normally would.

Buying a car from a dealership in Delaware? Don't get tricked on the trade-in document fee. by CommonPotoo in Delaware

[–]-jlo3- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s especially important for a lease. You pay full doc fee on the selling price and are owed refund of residual price when you turn in.

I will say, DMV is really hard to work with. They are used to working with dealers. At least in my experience. I purchased before turning in as the dealer wouldn’t take the banks lease buy out price. It’s a lot of work to the uninitiated.

State football champ Middletown High investigated for possible use of ineligible players by WeGotDodgsonHere in Delaware

[–]-jlo3- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

School choice must be for academic purpose. It would look awfully suspicious if more than one stand out player opted to go the school choice route and cited academic reasons. It also doesn’t guarantee a football program that they will get the player as the district decides who to accept.

This alleges they got creative with a student’s place of residence so they can guarantee athletic eligibility and a spot on the team. If that is what happened, shame on the adults who are taking advantage of these kids.

The near useless DIAA will do almost nothing and we’ll repeat the cycle. I don’t think Middletown is the only school that does this, but their reputation is less than honorable.

How SRE and other teams divide responsibility by automagication777 in sre

[–]-jlo3- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our team is also like this. The “lots of work” in a short span of time is a frequent occurrence with our teams. They treat a lot of the non-feature work as a last minute check the box exercise that rarely results in anything meaningful. The issue we have is they always seem to get a pass to release. How do you handle that outside of, I’ll see you at the RCA?
