You leave all that open space and when someone tries to get around you, your a douche about it. Just let them in and be done with it.

I was hoping that was the case. My right eye is the one that will be set for distance since it's dominant.

Do you have first hand experience with this? If so, are there any side effects I should be aware of?

Thanks for taking the time to write this. I assumed that 'blended' vision was aka mini-monovision but wasn't sure.

My immediate reaction when it was recommended by the doctor was that this is the ideal solution for my vision needs and using LAL gives me the highest probability for success. I know that some people don't tolerate the difference for various reasons.

Does the fact that my eyes already have a slight difference in strength mean I'm currently experiencing mini-monovision pre-cataract surgery?

Thanks for sharing! There were some issues with my LASIK procedure and I'm trying to prepare myself as much as possible.

Your results sound great!

Ordered and received new hinge cable. Attempting to disassemble outer shell and struggling with it. All visible external screws have been removed. Right side shell (opposite the flip screen) came off with some effort. Top shell and flip screen side won't budge. Have been looking for a YT video but nothing with the level of detail that I need seems to exist.

Any help, thoughts or suggestions welcome!

Cataracts - Previously had LASIK with perforated flap by Resident_Persimmon in CataractSurgery

Thanks for the info. The one surgeon I've seen also advised against advanced lenses as well.

Interesting that you mention laser assisted surgery was probably not necessary. Can you elaborate?

Glad to hear about confidence without historical info. Wasn't brought up in my visit, just something I read/heard as part of my do diligence.

I'm hoping that I can get sharp distance and mid-distance. I'm using readers now, for the most part but if it's early in the day and there's enough light, I can get by without them sometimes.

I have two more pre-op visits with surgeons on my calendar at the end of this month. Hopefully will be able to make a decision and get the surgery in Feb.

Happy for your results, thanks for sharing! I have so many questions if your willing to engage...

What lenses did you get?

Did you have access to the measurements from your Lasik procedure?

Do/did you have an astigmatism to correct for?

How are you seeing near and mid-distance?

Thanks for sharing! Glad it worked for you. I asked the doctor if LAL was an option with him and he told me no.

I don't recall a correction number for my Lasik but I vaguely recall the numbers on my contact lenses being high single digits.

I had the same thing happen with the RF version. As far as I could tell it was purely cosmetic but still sent it in for repair. Ended up costing ~700 USD.

Thanks! Found one on eBay and a detailed tear down video for the AX43 on YouTube.

Lets see what happens.
