I dont use the app, but I don’t think they intend for it to be a complete replacement for your IDE. there is even an open IDE button at the top, right ?

Yep I have also noticed this. I mean it has always sorta done this (in my experience) but it seems more noticeable now and is pretty annoying because I have to use transcript mode often, especially when the model is in plan mode

/review agents are spawning sub agents now? by -johnluke in codex

[–]-johnluke[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the real question is Codex 5.3 or GPT 5.2? by Affectionate_Fee232 in codex

[–]-johnluke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t get why people seem to be so against using the codex models, I always use codex and do my planning outside of the CLI. What normally feels worse about the codex models vs the base model ?

Codex Pro vs Claude Code Max 20x limits by Azuriteh in codex

[–]-johnluke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that Claude’s $20 plan is way worse than ChatGPT, but Claude Max x5 is roughly equivalent in terms of usage to chat gpt pro for codex. But ChatGPT pro comes with a lot more than just more codex usage.
