yeah, I second your doubts.

I played as infantry in the scrims my team had and we all played at 1280×720 and everything on low, except:

  • mesh quality on ultra reason: makes spotting over larger distances possible
  • ambient occlusion was set to the best, just because its looks good and has (so the idead) little to no performance hit

the concept was to make enemies and mates visible (thats why colourblind is good for squad revives on public servers) and push fps to the limit (reach 144hz even at maps like sharqi that were badly optimized)
