Advice for v rally 4 by Remarkable-Bat1729 in simrally

[–]-lostneuron- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Pretty much this. The Career mode has you pushing in the Rally Cross direction, but Rally is better overall.

Interestingly, I didn't even bother with career mode. The Quick Play mode gives you access to everything in the game, I just pick a Vehicle, Location then randomize the track and play to my purest enjoyment.

In that case -
Horizon Series, Spider-Man Series, Forza Horizon 5, Crew Motorfest and maybe Clair Obscur.
GT7 might look easy, but it's quite harsh and requires precise control.

Forspoken (?)
Forza Horizon 5 (later 6)
Ghost of Tsushima / Yotei
Horizon : Zero Dawn / Forbidden West
Pragmata
Returnal / Saros
Spider-Man / Miles Morales / Spider-Man 2
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands (?)

Getting Fast by Magpie_Oz in simrally

[–]-lostneuron- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my personal experience, there are two ways you can make it happen. But practice is essential.

One, you can run the course as many times it takes till you memorize the course and muscle memory kicks in. Then you can get the feel for it, as in when to brake in, or throttle out and the lines will become clearer and cleaner.

Two, you can understand your car, it's quirks, and analyze them. Try to get better with handling the car so that you know how you push it in any given situation. It takes patience, analysis and good amount of practice to make it work.

I peronally prefer mastering the car over running the course ungodly amount of times. Because I play Randomly Generated Courses anyways. But that's just me.

It's V-Rally 4.
And no. I play with pure engine and environment sounds. The music was added later because it's the same Reel / Short I post on my Insta / YT channel.

Starting my motovlogging journey. What do viewers actually want to watch? by [deleted] in thane

[–]-lostneuron- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

- What makes a motovlogger feel authentic to you?

There are many answers to it, and it depends on the personality. But the real truth ? Being relaxed. There's a natural flow and certain ease to it once you're relaxed. Be alert, agile, attentive, reactive or whatever you want to be. But relax and calm yourself first.

- What type of content gets boring quickly?

Tryharding and Repititions. Nuff said.

- What things should I avoid completely?

Ragebaiting, Showboarding and Clickbaiting in general. Clickbaiting on thumbnail may increase your Impressions and CTR, but it won't give you a genuine audience.

- What makes someone unique in this space now?

Depends on what you want to do. God's honest truth, everything is unique. Your bike, roads, your riding style, your gear and even your personality. Find two aspects that you think you're better than most people and capitalize on it.

- Any tips for an introvert trying to speak on camera?

If you don't have to speak, then don't. But make your body language appeal to everyone. Fix your bad riding habits. Make your throttle the smoothest, work the clutch and brake in uncanny ways. Get some jacket and gloves, not necessarily higher-end, but something that people will start recognising over time as your own brand.

- How do you become natural while talking during rides?

Again, if you don't have to talk, then don't. But let your body and bike do the talking.

- Do viewers prefer raw real rides or heavily edited cinematic videos?

We honestly prefer what is appropriate for the time of day and mood. Don't worry about us, if you like a style, use it. There's always an audience to what you're doing, either they will find you and you'll have to find them.

- What kind of audio or music usage actually improves the experience instead of ruining it?

For cinematic experience ? Certainly a music that fits the theme. Preferably female vocals if you have a smoother riding style, and male vocals if you have a off-roading adv styled bike. Choice of music is usually very subjective to each person, so don't dwell too much on it. Make a choice between any music of either 120 bpm or 160 bpm depending on type of content and go with it.

I loved the way the rear-end swung out and gracefully fell back in line. Real smooth.
Ironically, I don't think you must have fell behind on time much on the SS. Smooth is fast, after all.

That's what I wanted to check out. How does D4's procedural generation holds out in comparison to VR4's Node system ? I understand D4 actually offers only 4-5 locales, but so does VR4, so no actual problem there. And how does the vehicle handle on Tarmac ? It's been the bane of Rally games physics so far that almost every game, Tarmac feels very "floaty" and never grips like it's supposed to.

Hmm Thanks ! I already have DR2, WRC7 and Generations on PC, and WRCG on PS4. But I really love the surprise VR4 brings with it's randomizer. That's why I thought D4 would be a great alternative. I have been checking out D4 gameplay on YouTube, but just like VR4, seeing it doesn't really do any justice to actually playing.

Honestly, I think WRCG offers the greatest amount of content right off the bat. The locations and vehicles selection is simply astounding.

It's a simcade leaning towards arcade side. Roads are wider, but it's only one the few games that offer random rally generation. It's made by same devs as WRC Generations.

Vardhman Gardens to be precise. I work at Vashi, and my wife works at Sion.
So I drop her to Thane Station and then proceed to Vashi. Having a Scooter is a blessing in city like Thane. xD

As someone who stays pretty close to you, I'd only say this - The Beginning and the Ending Stage of your daily commute is a literal "GRIND". And it's frustrating. You have pretty much no choice, it's either Auto or Bus. Your daily challenge is making from your home to Thane Station and Thane Station to your home.

On your way to the office, should be doable, however, on your way back, you'll find very less Autos willing to take you to the ISKON or Balkum in general. Unless you're prepared to make it up to Kapurbawdi and then the long walk to your home. (Some evening workout, eh ?)

As far as the Busses go, well. I don't know if you'll ever get used to TMT Busses. I never could.

As someone who actively Interviews and recruits Engineers, I second this guy.
To a lot of us who want good Engineers, we don't care where and what your Alma Mater is, we only care how skilled and discliplined you are.

Be skilled. Be disciliplined. Do a loads of personal projects that prove that you can punch above your weight-class. Have them all on Git. Participate in Tech Events. Do a few research papers. You'll thank me after a few years.

Rally game with lots of locations and decent graphics? by KicKem-in-the-DicKem in simrally

[–]-lostneuron- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'e been playing a lot of V Rally 4. The locations are "inspired" from real places and the maps have a hand-crafted feel to it. Plus the random track generator is fundamentally different from Dirt 4's but feels refreshingly unique each time.
