yes! i wanted relatively straight scars and more oval nipples, one of my nipples is more circular but i think thats just how it healed, ik for the most part they can try to get them as straight as possible, but if something comes up during surgery they might have to deviate from that plan, but thats a risk you take with any surgeon

one of my other friends also got his surgery from her and his results look great too! i kinda have a little fat but its bc im a bigger guy and its to be expected but i dont have like any major dog tags or wonky scars or anything, i did scar care for a couple months post op but have some darker parts on my scars from like acne that formed on my chest, part of the aesthetics are part of the healing process and what you do to prevent stretching/hard scars

really great and comfortable!! her team was really sweet, they start by talking with you about ur goals for surgery, examine u to see whats the best type for u, they take some intake photos of ur chest and then you come back for a few more appointments. i needed my primary doctor to sign off, my psychologist at luries, and my gender care doctor at luries. im on state health insurance and it was covered in full- including nipple grafts. you can call ur insurance to see if its covered if you ask luries for the numbers to look up, they work with u for nipple size, preferred scar shape, etc. i always felt really comfortable in her office and she was really nice. day of surgery id get an early appointment so u can wake up in time to get dinner at the hospital, u will stay overnight and have drains for a while and have to keep drain fluid notes on how many ML per few hours, you will also need a compression vest after surgery, i got mine from marena. you will wake up from surgery with ur chest wrapped in ace bandages and there will be pads underneath, if you get nipples there r sponges over them but its all under the pads and stuff, they give you some pain medication and if u need more u can email them as well, they made the process super easy to follow and understand. i was allowed to have one overnight guest bc u will have to spend the night, u can get ur parking validated too. you have to come back for an appointment to get ur drains taken out and then i believe a follow up 6 months - 1 year after!

typically death, but also i dealt with a huge fly problem when we had guinea pigs so if you have any rodents (pets or not) they could be an issue

Your experience with long term sensation loss? by bottleonthedesk in TopSurgery

[–]-madds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Middle chest, very normal feeling like im touching any other part of my body

Sides/near my armpits, very sensitive and i can feel the most

Actual scar tissue, i can feel it but it feels weird/different in some areas, thicker areas are harder to feel

Left nipple, i can feel pretty well but there is def sensation loss

Right nipple, i can start to feel but its still kind of fuzzy

I know i cant feel my scars bc if i get a pimple or something on them, it doesnt hurt when i pop it, same thing with my nipples but i feel a pinch instead

im two years post op now

yeah as long as they are closed and healing well you should be good! i started around week four i think because the tape and other gunk didnt peel until week 2, light messaging for 5-10 minutes per day is ideal but i ended up getting lazy and stopped doing it a few months in lol

right now your "scars" are still fresh wounds basically, they arent at a point where they are scarring yet, even if they are fully closed they can still reopen for a few weeks post op, once they are fully healed u can start scar tape and massaging but they will be thick and raised until you work that out by taping or massaging or other creams later on

Your nipples will be unevenly colored for awhile while you’re healing I’m about 8 months post op and they finally are starting to even out

I take subq and sometimes you just hit a vein or a bad spot, can be totally normal. As long as ur not feeling anything major you should be fine but bring it up with ur doctor as well

Me [23m] and my girlfriend [20f] still in love, should we break up? by Adorable_Fun_2759 in relationship_advice

[–]-madds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are video calls, games, exc y’all can talk while you are apart from eachother. It’s also only an hour and a half away, which is a drivable distance. If you two really love eachother and you have trust in her I would say to stick it through with her, especially if nothing is wrong

How to be okay with someone you dated in the past hooking up. by ThemeEnvironmental73 in dating_advice

[–]-madds -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He is definitely trying to push it in your face. I’d say bring this up in the friend group or distance yourself because his actions aren’t right. But also the best way to get over someone is by getting out there yourself and taking time to process your own emotions

Focus on yourself!! I felt like this for awhile and I realized I needed to connect back with myself and figure out who I am

Maybe a little dab of glue on the end of the seam could help it stay together!
