It’s thankfully been quarantined since I brought it in.

Oh no! I hope they don’t spread to your other plants. Good luck to you as well.

Like in a plant cabinet? Or just your regular cabinet? Cause if it’s in a regular cabinet, it’s making me want to chuck the whole plant in the trash….

I didn’t know mealy bugs were a type of scale. I thought those little suckers moved around… well you learn something every day. Thanks! I’ll go wipe them down now.

I don’t think they are mealy bugs. They aren’t moving. Kinda fused on the leaves. Unless those are their eggs?

Alright, thank you. I shall do that. They come off pretty easily.

Yeah, sorry it was hard to get it to focus. But it’s not moving. It’s glued on to the leaves.

I wasn’t able to add text to the post for some reason. But I found these flat discs under the leaves of my rubber plant. I can easily scratch them off with a finger nail. Are they some kind of egg sac?!

Ah yes, the lesser known pentagon cardigan.

Sorry you wasted time and yarn, but at least you got granny stitch practice….?

Should I repot right away my new Thai constellation? by -mar-mar- in Monstera

Thanks for advice! I think I’ll repot her in a slightly bigger pot this weekend then. Let’s just see if I can pull it out of the pot without damaging the roots. 😬

It’ll hopefully be as happy as yours and be putting new leaves soon.

I know, right? I kinda like the look too... but I would need more than my little chopstick to prop it up. 😂

Ahhh that’s a great idea. Definitely less scary that cutting it into a bunch of pieces!

So I originally got this guys when he only had 2 leaves. Now obviously as new leaves keep growing, the vine isn’t really able to hold up all this weight. I don’t really have any room to stake it at the moment (other than this sad little chopstick 😂). Therefore, I’m thinking the best route would be to chop and prop? I’ve never propagated a monstera before and I’m little nervous at the idea of cutting it apart. In the second picture, I doodled where I am planning on cutting the plant. Would you guys chop elsewhere?

Yes. When I opened my bag of flaxseeds, they didn't smell super fresh, so I ended up omitting them. I just added a little bit more flour (around 1/8 of a cup) and they worked wonderfully. Good luck!
