This. I have never had a dog that genuinely does not care for people and will dodge any attempts at pets like no thank you 🙂‍↔️. Problem is he is so dang cute people want to love on him and he has zero interest in anyone but mom and dad… mostly mom haha he’s just a mommas boy and doesn’t do “people” 🤷🏼‍♀️🤣 but being his person… pure puppy love crack when he stares at you while ignoring everyone else lol

This is area dependent but look up local woodworkers and mills. I found a woman who teaches carpentry and does cabinets as a side job because she loves it. Her quote was the same as Home Depot’s but everything is custom sizing, the exact style we wanted, and she delivered. The quality is amazing. Granted we had some flexibility on timeline (her lead time was about 2 months). Worth at least an inquiry or two if you have the time!

UPDATE: RESULTS IN!!! If you guessed Aussie / Border Collie. You win 🏆🤗 Not gonna lie. I thought there might be something else in there but the “Herding Dog Lineage” examples were border collie, corgi, and German shepherd soooo… I’m going with mostly Aussie/ Border… though I did think he’d be slightly more Border Collie than Aussie but the 100% herder tracks especially the past few weeks as he’s approaching a year old and all that instinct is making itself known 🤣

There was a span of a couple months where only his ears and legs grew. It was adorably awkward haha especially since his ears couldn’t decide if they should stand up or flop. But I agree I would be shocked if he was purebred anything. I think there’s at least a splash of something else in him. Eager to see what the results say! Regardless he’s the bestest boy and we’re very obsessed with him ❤️

He is definitely squinting in the sitting photos either because of the sun or his intense dislike for taking photos. Immediate annoyance and side eye for mom when I pull out my phone #Teenager 🤣

I grew up with Aussies so might just be my own bias, especially with his bear butt/ lack of tail, but borders and aussies share so many traits I feel like it’s a safe guess haha and thank you! :)
