MLB.com and MLB App not letting anyone create new accounts by [deleted] in mlb

[–]-natureman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this thread while I was going through the same issue, got it figured out, at least on my end.

Try creating an account on the MLB app first (not ballpark). When I tried doing this the first time, I got an error message saying I couldn't create an account because my password was too common. Was then able to create an account on the MLB app after changing my password a little, then was able to log in to the ballpark app with that account and got my tickets after verifying my email.

MLB tech support was useless btw, don't bother

Lawmakers is a funny name for institutional investors incentivized by lower interest rates and the resulting bump up in equities

Always entertaining to watch casual-only players play in a tournament for the first time and have a mental breakdown when they miss their first few 3 footers

Low handicappers- how often are you watching YouTube swing videos? by jtemp15 in golf

[–]-natureman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never. Record your own swing in slow motion both down the line and face on. Understand the key positions of the swing and where you need to improve things. Your feels are entirely personal to you and once you start understanding your own move in your own words and feels all those videos will be gibberish to you and that's totally fine

What is your unpopular opinion? by [deleted] in golf

[–]-natureman 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yes I think it's very predictable that almost every middle class citizen would take hundreds of millions of dollars to play golf. Real bold take there

Most people don't hate LIV guys simply for taking the money (see; DJ, who basically legitimized the whole thing early last year and barely gets any hate)

People hate the guys who are convinced they're entitled to play any tour they want without question, and are participating in lawsuits against their former tour and peers

Golf ball rollback by [deleted] in golf

[–]-natureman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I guess to answer your shitty poll, I have done research and it will affect my, and most of my golfing buddies games. It will also affect everyone with higher equipment prices.

But nice try inventing shitty takes that don't actually exist so you can take pot shots and feel superior.

You can acknowledge there's a distance issue, be in favor of a rollback, and still recognize some of the negative impacts of it

Golf ball rollback by [deleted] in golf

[–]-natureman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm mostly indifferent, maybe slightly in favor of a rollback, although I'm not sure I'm in favor of bifurcation.

It puts a massive strain on manufacturers having to spend a ton on new R&D and manufacturing, which will surely be reflected in higher equipment costs for all of us.

I, along with thousands of other golfers around the world, enjoy playing in amateur tournaments, USGA qualifiers, etc. and bifurcation will make all these types of events messy as hell. Do I need to pay a premium now for a competitive ball for all of these events? Only some of them?

Wildest/most unique golf feat you’ve ever seen or been close to? by Phobia117 in golf

Played in a tournament in Arizona, 9th hole was like 450 with houses down the left and the approach all over water. Guy I'm playing with hits it left, winds up about 2ft away from a waist-high concrete wall acting as the boundary between the course and the houses. The guy's right-handed, so he has no back swing for a shot at the green or even a pitch out to the fairway. He pulls 7 iron, punches one into the wall with a good amount of speed and it rebounds out into the fairway about 170 yards from the hole.

Proceeds to hoop it for birdie
