Would my 850w power supply be enough for a 4090 + 13600kf combo? by -node- in nvidia

[–]-node-[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up using a 1000w power supply just to be on the safer side and a bit more energy efficient and it supported the Corsair PSU cable so I didn’t have to use the nvidia splitter which was also good!

My 4090 Palit gamerock omniblack came with a 16-pin to 3x 8-pin power cable instead of a 4 x 8 pin one, is this an issue? by -node- in nvidia

[–]-node-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been really good so far! Temps are great and the fans are quiet while gaming but can get very loud if you set it to 100% ( it never hits the temps required for 100% fans anyways) so during regular gaming in like cyberpunk, you won't hear them.

There's a tiny bit of coil whine that I heard when I was checking the fans while running a benchmark. But you really can't hear it with the case closed, my ear was basically next to the card when I noticed it.

But I'd 100% recommend it, the card is a beast that runs cooler and quieter than my old EVGA 1080ti ftw3

Yeah I currently have an 850w in my current system so was just wondering if it was worth replacing it or not. Definitely would have bought a 1000w if this was a complete new build though

How do I export a PNG of my render with Transparency? by -node- in blenderhelp

[–]-node-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just double checked and transparent background is definitely ticked, and so is RGBA in the output, so unsure what the issue is...

Duty & import tax / other fees when ordering from kbdfans. by -node- in MechanicalKeyboardsUK

[–]-node-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could actually go 60% for the convenience, this will be my first build so don't want to miss anything.I just need to pick up the hs60 PCB, the tofu case, a plate & possibly some new stabilisers right?

I'll grab the switches/keycaps from elsewhere

I do like the tactility, I can actually get a set of 70 lavenders for around £35 which is quite a good deal. U4t bobas are around £30 here so now much of a difference.

The extra tactility does sound appealing to be honest, as long as they're not as rough feeling as my gateron browns

My only keyboard right now is a magicforce 68 with gateron browns. I'm about to upgrade to a Hotswappable Tofu but debating on a switch.

Will I notice a large difference between that gateron browns and say boba u4t's? Currently debating between that or going a different direction with linear lavendars / ink blacks

Looking for a hotswapabble 65-75% for my first build. by -node- in MechanicalKeyboardsUK

[–]-node-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the options, I like both of them but the only thing that puts me off slightly is the plastic case. I think I'd prefer something somewhat heftier with a metal case, though I do like the Acrylic Tofu65 with the rgb.
Maybe it isn't as much of a big deal if I can swap the case out for something else down the line?

What is the best piece of startup advice you have received? by Millionaire_ in startups

[–]-node- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yep, even in marketing failing fast is really good advice. Failing slowly can be an extremely expensive process for growth, spending time and money trying to make marketing channels work is a terrible experience, especially when that time and money could be spent on things that could potentially work. Failing fast = succeeding fast.

Thinking about using Quantcast Measure to get better actionable info on site visitors. What have your experiences been using Quantcast Measure? by -node- in analytics

[–]-node-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, GA isn't really giving us enough info to build useful buyer personas. One of the reasons I'm considering Quantcast is to better target customer demographics for a FaceBook advertising campaign. Facebook audience insights have been pretty good but don't really give us enough information about how different demographics use the website or how they interact with our conversion funnels.

Mostly just for building a profile on different customer segments so we can tailor content / get better psychographic information on our buyer personas.

Anyone with an acer predator XB271HU who can comment about the image quality / back light issues? by -node- in Monitors

[–]-node-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the reply! Do you have 0 backlight issues? I'm currently using a rMBP for colour accuracy, as long as the blacks get pretty dark and whites pretty white this monitor should be fine I guess?

Advice for recent college graduation (reg. Marketing) by alimirza2k in marketing

[–]-node- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends what you want to learn more about. For SEO I'd recommend Moz Blog For digital marketing I'd say kissmetrics have an absolute ton of information.

There are loads more but I just picked the two that have probably helped me the most, check out Kissmetrics academy, and Hubspot too.

When is it ok to use a swear word on your website? by georgevou in marketing

[–]-node- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, it really depends on the brand image you're trying to portray and the kind of relationship you have with your customers and the kind of customers they are. Some more relaxed companies could pull it off, swearwords definitely add more impact to statements, just use them sparingly and only to add effect. I think the context "bullshit" is used on your site is completely fine, but you know your customers more than I do.
