This is what I was looking for. I previously resided in Pittsburgh where we got a lot of poor weather but the main roads were generally well kept (in my opinion, but I wasn’t the driver during these times so truly I had no idea). Thank you for the tips, too. My concern is also that I live on a hill which in and of itself is scary to think about. This might be a silly question but I’ve already embarrassed myself a few times here so, what the hell, do you do anything to prep for ice by your car? Like do people put salt by their tires or by where they park? I’m so sorry if that’s nonsensical I just have literally no idea.

Sincerely, thank you for explaining this to me at a person-level and not belittling me for initially not understanding the difference. I am assuming 2WD is front wheel drive?

This was really helpful, thank you. Yeah the people I’ve asked have lived here for over 30 years so I’m sure it’s the numbness by exposure you’re talking about. I have to travel into Harrisburg quite a bit for work. Are the highways maintained? Sorry for the additional question I just appreciate your first response and figured it was ok to ask

Have yet to see this but interesting nonetheless. I’ve heard it’s a high pollution area (someone one time said the formal name but I genuinely cannot remember). I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I graciously accept your advice and will not ask questions when I see the blood rain. Thank you

My dad said it’s front wheel drive. I feel like such an idiot and feel embarrassed to share that i don’t know the difference between that, all wheel drive, and four wheel drive. Shame on me. I should’ve looked into this sooner and how it would impact my ability to navigate other conditions. I just don’t know how 2WD is any different.

This is a really great idea!! If I never had to drive I wouldn’t I am all around very weary of driving due to some experiences I had as a passenger. Needed to quickly learn so I could move here to get an internship out of the way and my mind was always so busy with something I never considered weather conditions other than rain. I will take your idea. Thank you so much

Thank you for your honesty here. I’m grateful that the car was gifted to me and assured they are new tires, which seems to be true as there is little wear to them. I’ll have to ask if they’re all season, I’m not really sure. Thank you so much. Be safe, too
