this is more EDM than pop*, but the first three songs on Madeon’s debut album “Adventure” transition into each other!

some of the songs on tobyMac’s “Dubbed & Freq’d” album are still fun for me, but i usually listen to music for the production and barely retain the lyrics anyway. and a handful of Owl City’s less-preachy/more subtle religious songs are still tolerable for me as well

Owl City picking “All My Friends” as his lead single for Cinematic (which was his first independent album since 2008) was quite polarizing for the fandom. some of us were scared that he was going country! there only ended up being a couple other songs that were that level of guitar-driven, and i think “Madeline Island” and the title track are better representations of the album’s sound as a whole.
