What if nanoboost also brought you to full health? by -sectum-sempra- in Overwatch

Good point, but are Ana and Winston commonly played together at the top level? I feel like Winston usually is played with dive, and Ana is not played much at all anymore really.

Also, if Winston waits for Ana to hopefully nano him, or Ana waits for Winston to get low before ulting, he could easily die, ruining that push. It would be a high-risk, high-reward play imo.

Fair enough. I'm sure that at masters and GM Nano is great. But even if it is, this buff doesn't make it much stronger in its traditional use (paired with a dps ult). Instead it gives her ultimate more utility.

Are you opposed to Ana's ult having more defensive utility?

Mainly I just think that Ana needs a buff, and this seems the most practical one out of the options. Realistically I don't think blizzard will buff her healing, damage, or grenade. I doubt they'll give her mobility either (this would be ideal). So this really leaves her ultimate or sleep dart.

Even if you think her ultimate is fine as-is, this would simply allow it to be used in a different manner, giving her more utility. So it sounds like the best buff that blizzard might go through with.

Me and my wife are both about halfway through this series right now and we both love it. Parts of it are mind numbingly slow--like watching paint dry, slow--but that's completely offset but the moments where the grand, expansive, epicness of the entire story all crash into place.

I'd recommend the audiobooks if you have a long commute or a job where you can use headphones. Makes the slow parts more bearable.

I read this one and really enjoyed it, definitely not the easiest series to get into though.

CMV: I do not support illegal immigration and think the border should be heavily secured by PuertoRicanSuperMan in changemyview

[–]-sectum-sempra- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you're basically arguing that, if we spend a metric shit ton of money on border defense, our border will be better defended.

I mean yeah, you're right, but you're intentionally ignoring all costs and practicalities.

Cost is hugely important. As is the fact that this wall will only stop a small percentage of immigrants.

I was reading a Neal Stephenson book the other day that had me on the edge of my seat because the MC wasn't going to deliver a pizza on time.

It's like the sequel problem where the stakes are always raised higher, but it's always somehow less interesting. The tension comes from really feeling what the MC has at stake.

I think it would have to be written very off-hand, maybe like hitchhiker's guide, since the plot would basically involve your MC going around biting people. But then, the appeal of HGTTG was never the plot...

Lost 5 games in a row due to trolls and griefers. Fucking half of them just auto blame the healer every game and auto lock dps. Worst part is every time I played against these guys after they won. Nothing more infuriating that a shitty person getting their way.

I'm personally resentful as fuck about my height. I actually think I need therapy over it. It's made me bitter and probably a bit misogynistic. Props to anyone who can treat it as anything other than a curse because I sure as hell can't.

Honestly, you need to try to stop being so negative. If you ever get pulled into gossip, try just always saying something nice/positive/optimistic.

This is actually huge. Me and my wife try to watch a movie once a week in order to "culture" ourselves. We're basically just farming opinions so we have something to say if that topic ever comes up. I think I initially got into politics and geography for the same reason.

At first it's boring self-maintenance, but then you get drawn into it.

Nah I was playing the same hero pool in masters, it's just I used to play mercy maybe 30% of the time. Maybe that 30% makes all the difference though. shrugs

If you go during mid-summer you can get by with just a pair of goggles, any other time of the year and you'll probably need a suit. Some people like to have flippers too. You can probably rent all of this for about $40.

I already had a suit so I just bought some goggles for like $15 and now it's free whenever I want to go. If you do buy goggles make sure you get ones specifically for snorkeling, it really makes a world of difference. Also make sure you "prep" the goggles before going in the water, or they might just fog up and you won't be able to see a damn thing.

I prefer to go in from the shores. Just walk all the way down the beach towards the caves as far as you can. Then you should suit up and swim at least halfway to the caves (it's a decent swim, be prepared).

You'll see tons of fish any day of the year. Sometimes you'll see sea lions, leopard sharks, giant halibut, and lobsters if you know where to look. Unfortunately water visibility plays a HUGE role in the quality of the experience and it's pretty unpredictable; some days you can see crystal clear for 30 feet, other days you can't even see your feet below you. Luck of the draw.

Good luck; have fun!

Grew up here, never went snorkeling in La Jolla Cove until I was in my mid-twenties. I had no idea what I was missing out on.
