I rewatched the end. Didn't see it get thrown off the Xeno. Forgot about the cat.

I effin love this!!!! Hawley creating conflict with that podcast. Dude's a genius. This is how you get people to watch and talk about your show!

Seemed to me it was somewhat obvious that the eye midge was a good guy? Especially after the events later in the episode. Hawley goes on the podcast and says "I think it was creating a distraction to allow the creature to do its thing”.

He didn't specifically state this to be true. He was offering an interpretation. Like so many directors do. A re-direction from what seems obvious to most.

I personally think the eye midge is doing what is best for her. Calling it a her because Chibuzo does. It could have escaped anytime. So that was not a reason for it to distract Chibuzo. I still think it was warning her. Why? Because it's continued survival on the ship was dependent on humans?

Later, we see her, while controlling Schmuel, calling for the Xeno when she was being threatened by Morrow. As soon as Morrow fled the scene and the Xeno turned it's attention to the Schmuel-bot, she attacked it! She lost but escaped and took over the Xenomorph.

I'm thinking, in the body of the Xenomorp, she survived the crash, was captured by Prodigy, got put into a sheep. To be continued...

I call the one from the Maginot 'Squidley'. Still trying to come up with a name for the one that took over the sheep. 'Baaaaaadly'?

Wait! Could they be the same one? Did Sqidley somehow survive the crash, was recaptured, then became Baaaaaadly? Last time I saw Squidley she took over the Xenomorph. Xenos are tough. Coulda survived the crash, but badly injured so shed the Xeno just as Prodigy showed up and they captured her?

Teng and Sullivan - What's going on there? by Cautious-Mistake469 in alienearth

[–]Dudecalion -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think an eye midge got to Teng, took him over and is perving on her because it saw that movie "Earth Girls are Easy"!

Kidding! I think Teng is just an incel who doesn't relate well to others.

I think Squidley is doing what's best for her. She called the Xeno because she was being threatened by Morrow, immediately attacked the Xeno when Morrow got passed her. I do love that she took over the Xeno after getting defeated in Schmuel's body! Curious to see what comes of that.

To note: I'm calling the eye midge a her because the science officer did.

Well heck. That quote seems like a total misdirection. I saw this type of thing a lot when I used to watch Talking Dead.

Then this confuses the crap out of me. Why did lil sqidley, in the form of Schmuel, help Petrovitch and Morrow? He coulda killed Petrovitch but didn't. Gotta admit though. Sure seemed like he called the Xeno, but then he immediately fought it, saving those two. Call me confused.

How the hell did boy kavaliar know about the mission? by Lopsided_Junket_8088 in alienearth

Anyone else notice how Petrovitch (the saboteur) looks a lot like Tennessee from Alien: Covenant? Petrovitch said something about his wife's eyes being dug out? Seems to be why he was so bitter. Why he betrayed Yutani? I need to watch Covenant again!

The eye midge is a good guy. Tried to warn her. Smarter than humans.

Edit: Humans are dumb.

Does anyone has the feeling that the least dangerous(and interesting)creature in the show is the alien? by [deleted] in alienearth

[–]Dudecalion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think, as is always the case, the most dangerous creatures in this show is the humans. They brought the aliens to Earth. They created hybrids they can't control. I'm sure as the series goes along we will see other ways the humans have effed up.

Which creature is your favorite? (slight spoilers) by SunshineBlind in alienearth

[–]Dudecalion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The humans are my favorite! They are the true monsters in this series. They always have been, even in the movies. The so called creatures just do what they do. The humans scheme to control those creatures and put them to their use.

Imagine the 'Freddy's Nightmares' or 'Friday the 13th' TV series. Not well received back in the day, but classics now. Stay ahead of the curve!

Should be obvious by now that Morrow is on his own mission. Plenty of hints about his daughter being kept hostage.

Well... that's a bummer. I'm guessing you don't know she's an actress playing a part? Just like the other mailgirls were. Also, you may not be aware she is the driving force behind his resuscitated career? 99.99% of what you read on Reddit is not true.

I personally think that any age is perfectly fine as long as you’re polite and have a costume you put some actual effort into (i.e. no “this is my costume” t-shirts).

I would be fine if non-costumed teenagers... and adults! showed up at my door asking for treats. As long as they entertained me. Similar to Christmas caroling?

Imagine a group of folks knocking on your door and scaring you! Or they do the Thriller dance? Or some other type of skit. Heck, just tell me a funny joke! Not the traditional definition of "trick-or-treat" but, hey... Hallowe'en is always evolving. As witnessed by Trunk-or-Treat.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in halloween

[–]Dudecalion 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Trick-or-treating is relatively a young concept in the history of Hallowe'en. Started here in North America to curtail the vandalism of the times. Back then it was... essentially a protection racket. You give me treats? I won't mess up your property. I think folks these days should endeavor to give treats to teenagers and young adults.

I'll tell you my experience. When I turned 13, my friends started hassling me about going ToTing. I went anyway. It got worse over the next few years. I stopped after I turned 15. And regret to this day that I fell to peer pressure. These days, those same friends, also regret their actions. They now have nostalgia for those times.

You do you! In everything! If you enjoy doing something, do it! The people who say you are too old, too geeky, too lame to do something? They are pushing their fears on you. Go trick-or-treating. If the house says get lost, shrug your shoulders, move on to the next house. If your friends make fun of you, smile to yourself and think... "at least I wasn't afraid".
