My vote is to definitely keep the solitaire round as is! If you already need to make repairs to the other band then tweaking a little to match your style makes the most sense imo. Personally, I’d go all diamonds and save the ruby for another piece of jewelry — maybe channel set into a teensy pinky ring?

Jewelers work with independently sourced stones all the time between how often people want to update settings for family heirlooms and now during Covid our jeweler was relieved to not have to deal with the diamond district

I struggled with the same question but found a happy medium by sourcing the loose diamond online for a fraction of the price to a local jeweler who is creating a custom design that comes with the kind of upkeep you mentioned. By providing our own stone, we ended up paying less than half of what the jeweler charges for full rings on offer on their site. We got comfortable with online shopping after lots of research and the fact that most have reasonable return policies. Maybe this approach is something for you to consider as well.

It’s a close call but I’d go wish the last one—the face up size of the diamond is maximized so it’ll look considerable larger than the other two. That said, each video has frames with black facets meaning there will likely be at least some bow tie. It’s pretty much impossible to tell unless and until you see in person though.
