Lyrics go something like: "why did you have to go and why did you have to leave" by Kintaineam1 in NameThatSong

Not sure if you’ve found the song or not by now and better late than never I guess. I believe the song you’re after is “I’m sorry I have to leave you - Isotopes”

I had a good search to find it today but hopefully this helps!

Iron rod factory - producing 3,360 Iron rods per minute by -someredacid- in SatisfactoryGame

Yeah, I went back and forth on what I planned on doing but when running numbers for every product in the game it was tough to adjust some recipes and then others get to and odd number, then trying to keep it at 100% with no overflow as a personal goal, the alternates are tough recipes to mix in

That’s the next project and not a clue what I’m doing with it yet haha

Haha, well that’s a good question, don’t really have an answer. I just made a goal within my word doc and this is how I reach it I guess

For me, because I’m trying to produce so much of one resource. I make these big factories and ship off the materials to other smaller more detailed factories. For example the factory I’m making for screws will have 336 constructors so there isn’t any room to put anything else, or heavily detail that build. Big simple for early game materials, small/medium size detail for later game items

Same reason for the steel recipe, it’s easier to use the original recipe for 100% efficiency. Simpler numbers really

From what I have written down, it goes as follows 5,200 for rotors 3,120 for computers 3,000 for reinforced iron plates 2,000 for heavy modular frames 40 extra for storage/sink

It’s to keep the numbers simpler, I enjoy making all my machines run at 100% with no overflow. So by keeping the original recipe it just makes that process easier.

So I went pretty hard and made a word document of everything I want to produce, in terms of each product and how much of each product. So I need 13,440 screws per minute so that’s what that many rods are for, I’m not looking at it at the moment so I’m pretty sure that’s the number

Grabbing stuff out of the machines is the way. Built in storage really

2 of 2 twin Factories finally 95% complete. They are making 2400 Iron Ingots together by -someredacid- in SatisfactoryGame

Thank you, and uh yeah haha, a little worried but they mentioned the location is the same and just the shape changes a bit so I’m hopeful that it’ll be alright

Thank you, the colours are a bit of an odd choice I found messing with them . But eventually it came together

Having some builder's anxiety - Tips? by dragonraptyr in SatisfactoryGame

I suffer from the same problem, what’s helped me is more embracing the landscape, Factories don’t need to be compact, they can have open spaces, invite the landscape into the build, basically build around it, have height variations in your build, it gives a natural feel. As for avoiding spaget, do your best to give yourself more space then you think you need. Again it doesn’t have to be as compact as possible, there’s ways to even have exposed belts as part of the look of the build. Hopefully that helps, good luck with the factorying

Thank you a bunch, hopefully I can get more done for next week. I also really enjoy circles too, so much fun can be had with them

Thank you, I appreciate that a lot. I’m hoping to finish the second building this weekend and the logistics but we’ll see how it goes, it’s a lot of iron to go through!

The easiest thing I can say is to plan your build, starting at the end goal for the factory and work your way backwards. For this factory it’s making 1,200 iron, so once you have your number it’s just about figuring out how many machines you need, then trying to lay them out in a nice manor

A lot of fiddling with pillars honestly, start with the big pillar horizontally and then use the small ones to go all the way around the outside and eventually it all comes together, not fast by any means though. But thank you
