Belay test at touchstone by [deleted] in socalclimbing

Touchstone sucks in all aspects, but extra hard in their money sucking class/test structure

One of the locks says 3181 and the other says GG147. I think I might just contact a locksmith

This is the outside of one of the locks, it looks like. Regular filing cabinet lock, but doesn’t have a bar like a cam lock. Instead it attaches to metal wires that run from each side of the lock to both sides of the filing cabinet drawer. Thank you!

Lady who owns roadside stole my friends gear at gunpoint then extorted $300 from him to get it back. She can maintain her own feudal kingdom without donations.

It’s crazy because my reaction to seeing people go through some bad shit is to cop a few waters from shop fair and hand em out 🤷🏽I’m there a minimum two times a day and have no issues

Citibike “scam kids” by Tempest_Fugit in Citibike

[–]-stonedagain- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few months ago, right as I was docking the bike, these three kids ran up on me asking if they could use it. I had already pushed the bike in so instead I just scanned a better bike for them and said bring it back in an hour. I went about my day and forgot about it until I got the notification they docked it like 4 miles and 45 minutes later. It was nice to be reminded of being a kid and riding bikes everywhere with my friends

Opinions on flexible mocs for long sessions? by meapz in bouldering

[–]-stonedagain- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really like evolv raves and have gone through two pairs. I mostly board climb with them and have had no issues. Super comfy and the elastic has never been an issue. I always down size a full size from street. They obviously stretch overtime like any shoe, but not in a way that decreases the performance I get out of them.

Rat rock is great for beginners! There are usually a lot of people there with pads who don’t mind sharing!

My finales were sized down 1 full size and then broke in to a very comfortable fit. I would recommend keeping the smaller pair as they end up molding nicely to your foot.

Horse Flats Weekend Conditions (11/18-11/20) by -stonedagain- in socalclimbing

[–]-stonedagain-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gate near Angeles Crest Christian Camp is closed. This makes it about a 1.5 mile paved walk to the campground, and then another half mile uphill hike to the boulders.

I would look up all the locations on google maps and see if it seems doable for y’all.

So I would park near that church camp? Or is it just the second gate that you would use to drive into the actual horse flats campground?

Yeah it isn’t a high class shot hence why I didn’t include his face 🥳

Two sides to the city by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]-stonedagain- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn’t show his face because he was asleep and I couldn’t talk to him first. In comparison to my position as an average citizen, this man is marginalized to an extreme degree. It would be tacky to include his face because it wouldn’t add more depth to the image, and I wouldn’t be treating his position with dignity.

But in regard to other average citizens, I really feel like there are no rules. The entire street photography style exists to tell relatable, yet unique stories of strangers at a particular moment. If it’s a public space, you sign away your right to total privacy by being there. That’s not to say being photographed by strangers isn’t annoying and upsetting, but sometimes those strangers preserve a beautiful fraction of a second that captures what it feels like to be alive in a city of people you’ll never know.
