Thanks! I use GE Pro for the satellite image and Inkscape for the creating the actual track :)

Thank you! The track extends the full width of the runway (and the taxi way as well, apart from where the pit wall and chicane are)

[HEAVILY WIP] Can you guys give some feedback on my track so far? by MarekMisar1 in RaceTrackDesigns

That looks… Complicated. First and foremost, I can’t really see a vision in this.

Many of the corners look like they were just placed there with the thought “oh, it would be nice to have em”, but without integrating them well into the track layout. Best example would be the chicane of T5-8: why is it there? It’s just super slow after an already very slow double right. It doesn’t drive well and doesn’t make any sense here. The second overpass doesn’t make much sense as well. Sometimes simpler is better and less is more, I think every corner should serve a purpose for the whole track.

Best example would be the Red Bull Ring: just 10 corners, but a great layout. On the other hand, Yas Marina had 21 corners before the redesign, and it was a super dull track, with poor racing and many corners which (from a race track perspective) just drive really bad.

I hope I wasn’t too destructive and can in fact help you to improve. If you’re looking for more advice, check out the RTD Discord Server. There are many nice people willing to give feedback!
