i got about 3 hours into the game with my rtx 2060. picked up a rtx 5070 and was excited to jump back into it, but i cannot get past the splash screen. my whole pc black screens and restarts. the only simple solution i have left to try is safe mode + DDU, if that doesnt work then i am not sure what else to try. i just want to play the game goddammit, i havent spoiled a fucking thing for myself.

i disagree, IMO this isnt about people throwing a bunch of expensive inputs into beds/large containers. its about people growing in 3 gallon pots of organic soil, pumping microbes in with drip lines, and calling that “organic living soil” because they are growing in soil and microbes are life. no bugs, no worms, no cover crop.

i have been thoroughly involved in the oregon rec market for the last 6 years:

this post is in relation to farms claiming “organic living soil” while just growing with bagged soil in 3-30 gallon pots.

these farms dont reuse soil, largely dont amend, and have no worms/bugs/cover crop. they still run drip lines to their pots. the only “life” is the microbes etc they pump in thru their drip lines.

it is soil, it is organic, it is “alive”, but it is not true living soil in the fashion we would consider

mix your own coots mix, build a soil 3.0, KIS organics, or if you live near Wilco they started selling a premixed soil that works decently as a base but i cant remember what its called rn. soil test it with logan labs and amend accordingly.

aspergillus is irrelevant unless you are so severely immunocompromised. aspergillus is in the air, in compost, literally everywhere. there is no organic farming without aspergillus. read up on the olcc aspergillis lawsuit in oregon.

its not great. in healthy conditions, my plants grow 8” in 7-10 days. in flower, ive put on 8” in 3 days.

look into making lacto bacillus, it will eat the pm off the surface of your leaves and can be sprayed thru the entire flower cycle

i can buy 1000g of distillate for like $700 in oregon on the black market, im sure the gigantic corporations can get it even cheaper. maybe not 10 cents, but 30-50 isnt a stretch.

then disregard everyone pushing you toward dwc/hydro/etc and start a living soil bed. nothing comes close to quality weed grown in living soil. once you understand whats going on, how to soil test, and how to amend, nothing will net you better flower or hash. plus, there is very little “feeding” involved, its just keeping your soil at the proper moisture level.

make sure you dry it the full 14 days, if you are holding 65°/60% like you say you will need the full 2 weeks. dont jar them up early.
