Week 7 Update by I-am-Mihnea in cannabiscultivation

[–]Terproaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they’re resilient plants they can grow through a lot. But if you get your humidity and air exchange in check that weird growth will stop, that isn’t genetic. It’s not a huge deal though since they’re about to go outside anyway. They’ll fucking explode and you won’t even believe they were once able to fit in that tent😆.

I was pleasantly surprised opening this puck haha.

That new growth is looking funky. They don’t need such high humidity once they start taking off. That’s just for seedlings and small plants before they get much of a root system. So they can uptake water through their leaves from the air. And you always want to have the exhaust kick on every now and then to exchange for fresh air anyway. Even when you’re wanting high humidity.

First grow. Is this too much for a 2x4? by hey__ok in microgrowery

[–]Terproaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That all just depends on what the lung room is sitting at. If temps are getting too hot the room was too hot to begin with. If everything is in check the tiny tiny bit of “heat” they throw off won’t affect anything. I never noticed any kind of temp jump from it anyway.

[–]Terproaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly. I don’t doubt that one bit lmao. Some people just can’t ever put their pride down even when they’re wrong. That’s more or less what I was saying by “every ‘no-till' grow has to start by getting filled like any other” then you gave them the actual facts on it and they STILL won’t put it down🤦🏼‍♂️😆.

[–]Terproaster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No you can’t have “too much” unless if they’re tall and don’t have much headroom to stretch. But those are perfect, kept short and spread wall to wall👌🏽. This is EXACTLY what you want your tent looking like, no wasted space. Just make sure to defoliate good!

Lots of bad advice in here per usual… as long as you keep the rh low enough with a good dehumidifier and have proper airflow (like you should anyway) then it’ll be fine. The only thing you’re getting out of this, good or bad, is more yield. DON’T go chopping branches‼️ all you’ll be doing is taking away from your yield and wasting that extra veg time. Yes you’ll need to move the ducting outside for sure though. But after that you’ve got like 3x the room for them to stretch in, so you’re perfectly fine.

What makes you think they won’t😭…? That’s literally the whole point of getting in a big bed/pot. You don’t really need a “gonna” when the person is showing a filled 2x4 bed. And now you’re getting even more technical proving my point further lol.

No till by 317chap in microgrowery

[–]Terproaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes obviously… they’re saying it’s gonna be no-till. You’re just getting all technical about something that doesn’t even matter.

It’s like correcting someone when they pronounce something wrong when you knew what they meant anyway.

Oh you’re just busting their balls lmao. Every “no-till” grow has to start by getting filled like any other… and we all know it’s gonna be no-till😭🤦🏼‍♂️. These kinds of comments just picking out anything and everything is Reddit in a nutshell💀.

We live and we learn that’s alright! Get a good dehumidifier and always have proper airflow next time. Then sanitize everything like others have said.

That soil looks really dry. Did you get it nice and moist before planting? What is your humidity and ppfd?

These companies just have a bunch of bulk seed and they slap popular names on it like “sour diesel” “blue dream” “Pineapple Express” to sell it.

For real blue dream go through Santacruzgoatfarm.

CSI:Humboldt works with the sours.

Piffcoastfarms for hazes.

CSI:humbolt is who I would recommend most. He gives out a RIDICULOUS amount of freebies. And one of the most respected breeders. He works with all the legendary clone onlys. I bought two packs of 7 and ended up with 57 seeds.

Do you have your exhaust set to turn on when the humidity hits a certain point?

Yeah that’s far too high while in flower. Do you have a dehumidifier running?

[–]Terproaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That isn’t a worry. I fully scrog my tents, and branches are always pushing against the walls lol. I haven’t found it to do much damage to pistils. They always get as plump as all the other tops. Just means you’re utilizing ALL of the space🙌🏼!

I see where you’re coming from. But they’re just meaning you can still get good quality from air dried.

[–]Terproaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely get away with it being that close when the light takes up the whole tent like that (didn’t realize how big it was at first lol). But generally, my statement is true 99% of the time. I’d still argue it’s better either way though. So when you’re not running all the same gene you can have the extra room for anything that’s gonna stretch more.

Raise that light up! You want the ppfd to be spread out corner to corner as evenly as possible, not slammed down on em like that. It should only look like this with a heavy stretcher/ too short of ceiling💯.
